Please note The property has a natural water supply from spring and there is a deep pond in the shared garden 100 yards.\n \nThis lovely traditional farmhouse has been in the same family for 3 generations rearing beef cattle and Dorset sheep on the 130-acre farm in the heart of rural Cornwall. This holiday property is a substantial sized wing with the friendly farmer owners living next door. Built of Cornish granite the farmhouse is over 100 years old and has slate flagstone floor in the kitchen and a cosy log burner in the living room with French doors that open onto the patio at the front and the extensive garden beyond. The garden is simply lovely the perfect playspot for children - a wide expanse of lawn a myriad of colour in the spring and summer owing to an abundance of flowers with a deep pond at the far end. There is even a little boat floating on the pond. With chickens in the yard fabulous views of Bodmin Moor Caradon Hill and the village of Minions lovely farm walks and woodlands to explore this really is a delightful farm homestead just perfect for those families looking for a quiet rural location. Rilla Mill is located practically midway between the north and south Cornish coastlines which makes exploring the county very accessible from Bude to the renowned historic village of Tintagel on the north coast and little fishing villages on the south coast such as Looe and Polperro. On the edge of the moor Sterts outdoor theatre is nearby and the historic mining area’s characteristic tall chimney stacks are still seen up on the moor. The Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Tamar Valley has a pretty meandering estuary which stretches from Cotehele to Calstock and onwards to the mouth of the river at Plymouth. For golfers Travistock and Yelverton Golf Club are within easy reach. Horse riding nearby. There is so much to see and do you may need longer than a week Shop 4 miles pub and restaurant 2 miles. \n " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/125/840/1252289.jpg W44385

Just amazing. Don't even consider another holiday property if you are lucky enough to find this one. Diana is just an amazing person, not only looking after the farm, with her husband John, that joins this holiday cottage, but also taking the time to be so welcoming and helpful. A lovely lemon drizzle cake and local apple juice awaited us. The view and gardens are simply beautiful and the house itself is stunning. Large rooms, clean and so beautiful with everything you could need. A great location with a short car journey to some beautiful walks. We really enjoyed hiring bikes and cycling from Padstow to Bodmin and back on the Camel Trail (22 miles) with our 7 year old (on a tag along) and 16 and 14 year old boys. The drive to Padstow is about 40 mins. Thank you to Diana and John, we had an amazing time and can't wait to come back.

This cottage was absolutely beautiful. All the rooms were large and comfortable. Even though the owner lives next door the cottage was very private. It was home from home with all the amenities you could wish for. We would happily return to this cottage it’s the best we have been to.

The most amazing find! The most beautiful garden to relax in and the house was so comfortable with everything we needed for a week away from it all in the Cornish countryside. We loved our week down on the farm and John and Diana Thankyou for being the most wonderful hosts, you were so warm and welcoming. We really hope to return to your most beautiful home one day. Thankyou so much for the touches of fresh flowers and the yummy cake too.

Very nice house. We were warmly welcomed and shown around. Milk in the fridge, a bottle of Cornish apple juice and a home made cake waited for us in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable and big. Big bathroom and two other WCs meant we didn't have to queue! Everything we could need was supplied, plenty of toilet rolls too. With the rayburn on, the house was warm and there was plenty of hot water. The only thing missing was a tumble dryer which would have been very useful. We dried our washing in front of the rayburn. The garden is gorgeous but our granddaughter had to be watched as there is a deep pond. Very peaceful and a good location for visiting many places in Cornwall. Thoroughly recommended.

What an amazing place! North Coombe Farm is absolutely beautiful and served as a well needed retreat for us as a busy family of 5. Diana was such a warm and friendly person who I've missed talking to from the day we left. The views are stunning and the farmhouse is well equipped as well as spacious but homely. There are so many stunning places to visit nearby. We definitely hope to return to explore more.

This was simply heaven on earth. Stunning scenery and so peaceful, all you could hear were the birds when you awoke in the morning. The accommodation was first class and the owners of the property were charming and nothing was too much trouble.

Wow...what a wonderful cottage...very spacious... everything you need in a property is there for you...home made cake on arrival with a lovely bottle of apple juice and a warm welcome from the owner. The garden is amazing..my two dogs loved it and all the surrounding fields and walks...it is a bit out of the way of shops but its only around 20 minutes to drive to them...we travelled to many other places and it wasn't that bad...about 1 and half hours was our longest journey ...Looe and polperro are lovely and Fowey is beautiful...we will definitely be going back.

North Coombe Farm is by far and away the best self catering accomodation we have stayed in. Everything you can think of, and some you didn't even consider, are there waiting for you. We felt like invited guests of the family rather than paying customers. The whole family are friendly and spent precious time out of their busy lives talking to us and explaining about their animals and farm life. We were lucky enough to see lambs only hours old, and privileged to witness twin lambs being born. This was such an special added bonus & generously allowed by Diane & John. The peace & quiet helped us re-charge our batteries. We decided that no matter how lovely our day out had been, coming "home" was the best bit. We don't want to tell everyone how fabulous this place is as we want it to ourselves!!! But - it is totally fabulous and if you're reading this you'd be MAD if you didn't go ahead and book it now. You'll search long and hard to find anywhere close to this perfection.

We loved our holiday at North Coombe Farm. It was a stunning property. It had everything you needed and a welcome cake and apple juice waiting to greet you. It was the perfect home away from home. The owners were lovely and showered us with great hospitality. The grounds were beautiful and well kept and we loved the views and wildlife. It was in a great location enabling us to see both North and South coasts and the wild moors. It was fantastic and relaxing. Definately want to go back.
