The location was good and local people in the villages and surrounding towns were very friendly. It was a central location for the Northumberland coast attractions too. However, the internet connection was appalling, which is no good if you are bringing teenagers on holiday with you, or you need to be on call at work. We were assured that the internet service was good. Both the double beds squeaked badly and were uncomfortable. It would have been nice to see a visitors’ book. Moreover, we would have liked to have seen more leaflets to give you an idea of the locality, but these were lacking. The rules and regulation signs that were placed all over the house made us feel somewhat restricted.

Comfortable, luxurious, warm, clean and spacious cottage in an incredible location. Three adults, three teenagers and a dog were in our party and there was plenty of room for all of us. Comfortable beds, three loos, toiletries and lots of towels made sure we were very comfortable. I would have appreciated a larger dishwasher and bigger mugs, but that's minor. The private walk to the beach was stunning and the pool was a delight- we were in it for an hour 5 out of the 6 days, I don't think I have been in a pool with a better view. My daughter also had her hair cut by the lovely Alison in the adjoining salon. Embleton, with 2 shops and cosy pubs is only a few minutes walk- we enjoyed drinks and meals in the Greys Inn and The Dunstanborough Castle Hotel. We also enjoyed walking, via the beach, to The Ship Inn at Newton by the sea. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday, we have booked again for next year.

Excellent holiday accommodation. Very good facilities,my granddaughter loved the pool, play area and duck pond, she even named the four ducks and one goose!. We did have a problem with the heating/hot water day two ,but could not fault the way it was dealt with. We arrived with the rain lashing down and a gale blowing, but as soon as we opened the door of Lowcroft, every where was lovely and warm and welcoming. I am pleased to say the weather for the rest of the week was pretty good for the time of year. We would certainly consider booking the accommodation again and would not hesitate to recommend to friends. The only slight criticism, the "welcome pack" consisted of a small carton of U.H.T milk.
