With two bathrooms and a great sized modern kitchen, as well as an outside shower and covered outdoor seating, it also has an electric car charger making it a super place to stay. The property is just a short walk from the beach and many upmarket wine bars, eateries, cafés and shops in this popular seaside town. The fantastic Blue Flag beaches are popular with surfers and holidaymakers. The hidden fish restaurants along the beach are a delight, as is the lovely Priory which hosts some musical events and plays. Dating back centuries, it sits on the cliff and can be seen from further afield. Take a walk along to either North Shields, with its bustling working harbour full of restaurants (perfect for fish lovers and home to The Tall Ships Race) or in the other direction to Whitley Bay, where the beautiful Spanish City has been fully regenerated and has a relaxing champagne bar and events.
The promenade area that stretches along this bit of coastline has all been modernised and is a gorgeous place to stroll along on an evening whatever the weather as there are plenty of places to stop off for coffee or a gin and tonic. Only a few hundred yards away is the restored Metro station which is nicknamed the ‘Covent Garden of the North’ and is home to a very interesting weekend indoor market popular for all ages. You can hop on a metro here to Newcastle and take in the quayside or visit a theatre, gallery, and museum or enjoy the history and shopping.
Tynemouth is close to a great road network which will takes you in all directions over to Hadrian’s Wall in the west of the county or north up the stunning heritage coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where there are more golden sands and castles to explore. Visitors to Number 15, who enjoy the social scene, will be delighted with the location of the property close to all the amenities in a great part of the town. Beach ½ mile.
