A wonderful property in a great location. Owners were very helpful and the fresh scones with jam and cream were a very welcome surprise after our journey. Weather was mixed so having a cosy, comfortable and homely cottage to stay with all the mod cons made all the difference. The dog area was fabulous with a choice of two dog beds and plenty of space. I would definitely stay again - thank you

Such a lovely cottage. Very homely, cosy and comfortable. The owner was very helpful and prompt with any questions we had. Wish we were back there, having a nice walk in the day and then lighting the lovely fire in the evening with a glass of wine! The only downside was that the nearest pub as advertised has now shut down, the next nearest has just been taken over by new owners and was a shambles, and the third pub in the village doesn’t accept dogs! But we would definitely return! Thank you

Large, comfortable house with plenty of room for our family of six. Loved the wood burner and made great use of it for drying of wet boots. Lots of thoughtful touches to make the stay a pleasant one, particularly the cream tea on arrival.

We had a very good stay at Oak Bank Cottage and found it very warm, comfortable and cosy for our January week. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the accommodation, and the personal touches made it very much a "home from home". We had a small problem with keys, but this was soon solved by Fiona, who also helped us understand the intricacies of the TV settings! Fiona greeted us with an exceptional welcome tea with cakes and scones and we felt very safe in her capable and friendly hands. We were especially pleased with the separate table for our jigsaw - an important part of our holidays! - and our older members appreciated the easy chairs with arms, to save the struggle getting off the very comfortable but low slung settees. Next time we visit, we hope to bring a dog to make use of the amazing canine facilities! Kitchen well equipped, but did not stop us having two breakfasts at the Bakery! Lots of places to explore in the area without having to travel too far. If we return we may make use of the bus into Gloucester as it is a difficult manipulating the one-system in the city. The Cathedral is very welcoming, excellent guided tours especially the crypt, and somehow managing its finances without having to impose a fee to enter the cathedral itself. May Hill worth a climb, but use the quicker route from May Hill village rather than the extremely muddy footpaths back to Longhope! An excellent week - we will return.

Oak Bank Cottage is a great holiday cottage. It is very well equipped and comfortable. The log fire was lovely after a day out. We did have issues with the hot water, which kept running out before we had all had showers

What a wonderful time we had, a lovely cottage with loads of thought given to dogs.

Another great stay in this lovely well equipped cottage. It was warm and comfortable with great bathrooms and beautifully clean. It's a great location for exploring the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas. We had a relaxing week. I would highly recommend it for a break.

We stayed in 2017, but now it seems a bit tired in places, ie the carpets, one of the double beds, not so comfy, a missing tile by the toilet in the en suite, the sink still has two cracks, the radiator was filthy yellow stains. In 2017 seemed value for money this time I feel it was expensive. There were lots of cobwebs this year. There were no spare logs and Fiona didn't bring them as promised, when she knocked on the door on Sunday morning, bearing in mind we had been there since Fri afternoon. The log burner door handle was broken upon arrival and after 4 attempted phone calls & 2 message, to tell them about it, we gave up trying. The cakes were lovely and it looked all cosy upon arrival with all the lights on.

Shop and pub not the distance from cottage that was stated in desciption. Cottage very spacious and comfortable for the 7 of us but the creeky doors and floorboards in the night were a nightmare, didnt sleep through the night the whole week. Needed a car to get to pub so as we all liked a drink somebodt had to abstain every day. Perhaps this is a cottage for younger and fitter people.

Beautiful property, very clean and extremely well equipped, in a good village setting. Our only disappointments were the very low, uncomfortable lounge settees; the very small, basic garden space not visible on the website photographs; and the closeness of the neighbours on both sides, on one side with quite noisy children. In contrast the property had very comfortable beds, and amazingly powerful showers!

Amazing. We had a lovely time. The cottage was perfect for toddler with everything we needed and more. The afternoon tea was wonderful and a lovely touch. It is c

Family get together held over 4 days in stunning part of the world. The cottage catered for us all perfectly and the layout made it easy for all to congregate or have a quiet moment as needed. The facilities and decor made us feel at home and leaving was difficult. We will definitely keep Oak Bank Cottage in mind for future trips and the visitors book shows plenty of them are repeat guests.
