The cottage was very well equiped and the information given clear. It was nice to find some milk in the fridge and the biscuits were delicious. It had an ideal location and we enjoyed the walks around Braithwaite. We had a very relaxing holiday. Many thanks.

Had a very comfortable stay for a week. I especially enjoyed the bed, had the best quality sleep. One slight problem with the battery in the garage remote control, which was rectified straight away.

Excellent stay, great accommodation, bedrooms each have access to own toilet/shower or bath. Great access to easy and more difficult walks and easy, pleasant medium length walk into Keswick. The three hotel/pubs all do very good food and staff were friendly and helpful. Local shop has very tasty sausages and other basics.

Acorn Bungalow is perfectly located for walking the fells and valleys around Keswick and for visiting the many local attractions. Everything we could possible require to make our stay comfortable was provided and the bungalow is very cosy and spotlessly clean. We spent Christmas in the bungalow and on arrival were pleased to see a little Christmas tree and some classy decorations which made it look very festive. The space is perfect for two, a lovely lounge area overlooking the well tended garden and a modern kitchen/dining area. The bedroom is a good size with a very comfy king size bed and the bathroom has a bath and a good shower, hot water was always available. We also liked the amount of storage space which meant everything could be put away, the built in wardrobe in the bedroom was also useful and adequate to house our suitcase during our stay. The bottle of wine and mince pies were also a nice touch, thank you Hans and Caroline. Checking in and out was made easy, the key is housed in a safe with code outside the bungalow and as the security light comes on when it detects movement so there was no problem seeing to input the code. There is also a parking space on the drive so no need to worry about leaving your car on the road. We certainly will recommend this lovely bungalow to others and hope to return in the future.
