Rather tired and shabby - in need of decorating and beds need replacing as very worn and sagging mattresses.

Although the weather wasn't the best I had an enjoyable holiday. The house is in a lovely quiet area with nice walks. The house was good size comfortuble bed with electric blankets because you will need the them. It is very drafty and radiators only come on about twice a day you have no control although there is an electric heater. Nice powerful shower. Sofa there isn't much room and it isn't very comfortuble. Cleanliness the house was clean apart from cobwebs there were a lot of those. Kitchen was very well equipped apart from there isn't a sharp knife every kitchen needs a sharp knife. I did read in a previous comment there wasn't one I figured it would have been changed but it hadn't.

We had an excellent relaxing week, the Cottage exceeded our expectations and the location is simply STUNNING!! Even with the expected winter weather it was the break we needed before Xmas and the fact that all the basics were provided made it even better..... My Husband now insists he MUST have an electric blanket!!

Great for walking, you are in the middle of nowhere so very relaxing, the cottage has all the equipment you need, we had a great stay.

Needs a little TLC, and the chair and couch need upgrading for more comfort.

As with prev reviews that we read the cottage has a couple of pre reported weaknesses with the bed and shower letting it down a little. Bizarrely on our final full day we had a problem with the entrance door when the handle on the outside came off in our hand whilst closing the door to lock it. The internals then fell off within the face plate and blocked the key hole. We tried to report this to the owners both knocking on the door and ringing them. We were left reporting it to the holiday supplier. We never got to see the owners repairing the door handle before leaving the following day and had to sort out the issue ourselves with a small tool kit from our car. I should say that we saw the owners husband/partner as we went out on Friday as he returned home from walking their dogs. I showed the door handle to him and explained we had made temporary repairs but, just got a reply along the line' s of "as long as you are sorted ??" No repairs were carried out by the cottage owner so.......... WE apologise to; anyone who followed our stay and the wonky door handle. On the plus side, Great local walks, thankfully we hit a break in the weather and enjoyed great sunshine all week. The other matter that we should raise is that the owners supply a plug in heater but, the central heating appears to be part of the main building and comes on and off at the home owners discretion. Would we go back...................... Yes but, it may not be our 1st choice. .

its a good cottage for me, good dog walks on the doorstep, nice and quiet. I've been there at least 5 times now.

A rustic property which shows some age. It is part of an 1888 chapel. The shower performed poorly and some of the kitchen equipment was showing its age in that one of the two functional knives actually had had the tip missing which I wasn't sure if it happened whilst using it but it this wasn't the case fortunately. The owner was very welcoming and the visitors book was very complimentary from previous visitors a number of which advised they would look to return.

Second time to this cottage and will definitely return.
