Old Horton Grange ref MVS is a spacious detached former family country house and is an ideal retreat for all generations whether it’s a break for that special occasion or a family holiday. The property has large living rooms a games room and four cosy wood burners as well as a generous garden for relaxing. Parts of this delightful house date back over 400 years so plenty of traditional features mixed with contemporary living await you. The Stables ref UKC2532 sits behind Old Horton Grange all one level this U-shaped spacious former stable block dating back to the 18th century has a large living area with a double sided wood burner and offers two living areas. The open beamed features and limestone flooring offers a touch of country living with a contemporary twist. It benefits from a pleasant courtyard for relaxing and sitting out. The Bothy House ref MQD set in its own 1-acre of tranquil and peaceful woodland features an atrium-style ceiling and stands detached 100 yards down the quiet lane. This unusual bothy house boasts breathtaking sunsets from the glorious south-facing full length windows.\nThe picturesque town of Ponteland is nearby with plenty of shops and eateries suitable for all ages. A charming award-winning farm shop centre is only a couple of minutes’ drive. Easily accessible are all the attractions of the county including Hadrian’s Wall and the Cheviots. An easy drive takes visitors to the miles of golden sandy beaches scattered along the Heritage Coast peppered with castles friendly villages and is ideal for water enthusiasts perfect for lovely days out. Further along the coast is Holy Island not to be missed for a fascinating day trip watch out for the tides Alnwick with its famous castle used in the Harry Potter films and the enchanting water gardens which can be reached in around 45 minutes.     Fantastic holiday, fantastic place to stay with attentive and kind hosts whenever we needed them. Would definately stay again. This place is very special and super comfortable. Perfect for families.

    Lovely cottage - we liked the peace and quiet and seeing deer come past out windows in the morning and evening. Great location - easy to get to some wonderful places - coast, castles and city.

    The cottage itself was lovely and the grounds and area peaceful and quiet, but what totally let this cottage down was the cleanliness. The cleanliness was appalling. I had to thoroughly clean the place when we arrived the toilets, shower head, cutlery, drawers, dishes, fridge and sofa in particular were all disgusting. Even had spider webs all over the place. I was disappointed but just cleaned and tried to be positive about the cottage we were staying on over the next week. That was until I pulled back the bedding late at night to reveal marks on the fitted sheet. I had a poor night's sleep and phoned the owner next morning. The owner did apologise and bedding and toilet but disappointment had already set in. This definitely was not 4star accommodation at all. When l left I cleaned up and removed bedding unfortunately I removed the mattress protector to find a revolting mattress covered in stains put it bluntly I won't be back!!

    Nice location Cleaning left a lot to be desired especially the en suite shower Which had a lot of mould Beds were uncomfortable and the towels although clean were stained Would also benefit from wifi
