This is honestly the best accommodation we have stayed at and we have stayed at quite a few over the years, it was perfect the privacy the parking the facilities the décor is superb as well, the owners property is attached but you wouldn,t know they were there and if you needed to ask them anything they have a bell push at your door and they couldn,t be more helpful.

Great holiday in a great location. Close to everything whether it be town or country activities. Will book again!

Really enjoyed our holiday, very high standard, spacious accommodation. Probably the comfiest beds we have ever had in a holiday house. Only down side was the traffic noise on A75, but not enough to spoil the holiday. Very good location out of town.

The cottage is lovely the decor and artworks stunning. Very well equipped for a comfortable break. I would be happy to recommend this cottage a great base for exploring the area. Hosts very helpful we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old School. It was very comfortable, well stocked and clean and spacious. John the owner was pleasant and on hand if we needed anything. The WiFi worked well. We enjoyed watching the birds feeding on the bird feeder especially the Woodpecker. We were also near enough the Ferry Port to enjoy a day out in Belfast. The local town of Stranraer had all the amenities you needed and the gardens of Castle Kennedy were exceptional. I would thoroughly recommend the Old School if you are looking for somewhere to stay in this area.

We had a lovely stay in the old school house it is very well cared for and equipped. We enjoyed that we could walk to the beach in 20 minutes. Lots of great places to visit especially enjoyed Castle Kennedy gardens and Port Patrick is fab.

The cottage was fantastic had everything you would ever need. John and Ann were the most helpful hosts. I would certainly recommend this cottage to anyone.

The owners were most accommodating, cottage was dog friendly and the living room was both spacious and comfortable.

Very comfortable, well-equipped and clean cottage. Welcoming hosts with lots of useful local information. Lovely garden and space to walk our dog. Excellent road links to nearby coastal attractions. We would stay again sometime.

The cottage was lovely. The only thing we didn't like was that the windows were so high up (it was a school after all) leaving the only view we had was of the yard outside the cottage and main house. As the cottage is at the junction for the road to Cairnryan ferry terminal there was a lot of noise from passing lorries. Other than that though it is a very clean and well decorated cottage and the owners were lovely. They even supplied a little breakfast 'starter kit' of bread, milk, jam etc.

Warm welcome from the owners on arrival. Lovely welcome pack. House warm, spacious and very homely. Everything supplied that you could need. Made use of the slow cooker - dinner cooking while we were out all day. Modern, high quality decor, but with some beautiful vintage ornaments. Would highly recommend.
