Definitely worth a day out to Keilder its beautiful

It was a lovely peaceful 3 night break, a nice few days spent with family. The kids really enjoyed the hot tub which was checked on a daily basis. The lodge was clean and had everything that we needed, would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

We had a good time and the cabin was clean and sufficient but there were a few things that mean we are unlikley to go back - the layout of the cabin wasn't ideal. The living space was quite small for a four bedroom cabin; it was right at the entrance to the site and a bit open; there was only one large pot which made cooking for 5 a challenge; the hot tub was not that warm and di not have easy acces to a temperature control; we couldn't find the light switch for outside so no dark skies star gazing. As I say we had a lovely time but unlikely to be back. Would have been better accomodation for a smaller family.

3 bedrooms and not one single wardrobe. The Christmas decorations were abysmal and the lighting on the decking area was nearly non existant. Only 3 of the apex lights worked and the fairy lights surrounding the lodge weren't connected. Really disappointing.

On arrival we had to circle the complex of lodges twice before finally finding the cottage due to lack of signage Once inside it looked lovely all clean and tidy The larger bed upstairs was old and needed replacing so not a good nights sleep None of the bedside lamps worked so had to leave main passage light on downstairs for the children No instructions as to how the hob worked but eventually worked it out thanks to google ! As there were 5 of us there was not ample seating either around the breakfast bar nor on the sofas The outdoor ratten seating was ok but the cushions were soaking wet so weren’t able to use them ( maybe leave the cushions indoors where dry ) giving the option to put them out and sit Hot tub was lovely although the decking was wet n slippy and covered with leaves Ok so we booked for middle of November so weren’t expecting nice weather Not much to do around the cottage if u don’t want to drive But all in all a reasonable 3 night stay

Very lovely weekend away - perfect for a group of 4. Seems a good size for 4-5, but 6 might be a squeeze. 2 single rooms, 1 queen and 1 double room. The hot tub was perfect. Only improvement would be for some outside lighting. An easy 30 min drive to keilder water visitor centre. Pubs 1 mile away in the village or the adjacent restaurant 'The coachhouse' does very nice food, on the fancier/pricier side - can still get an excellent £10 burger though! The on site kitchen has all equipment, but is a tight squeeze so just room for one cook at a time. The dark skies stars were phenomenal. The front and hot tub are a bit exposed to everyone else, looking directly at the other cabins, so not very private but we rarely saw other people out in their hot tubs.

Nice lodge but not really big enough for 6 adults as advertised. Not enough seats in living area or at breakfast bar. Also not enough cutlery. No hot water at first until we found a switch in the utility cupboard and water pressure was not great. We did enjoy the hot tub and the location of the lodge was good. We had a nice walk across the fields to Otterburn village.

Had a good time with 4 adults and a teenager. The bedrooms up stairs were a bit tight but manageable. Only room for 5 on the sofa so 6 adults would find it a struggle. Loved the hot tub which kept a constant hot temperature and was cleaned every day although there was no outside lighting so we only used it during the say. Shower was only a trickle. There is a lake round the back of the lodges which is a good walk to take the dog.
