It is set in the heart of the Overlaggan Estate, an exclusive estate with over 1000 acres of stunning and unspoilt rolling countryside and has been modernised to a good standard. The the owner’s eye for detail is evident throughout, from the comfortable sofas and large wood burner in the living room to the sumptuous beds, not to mention the large farmhouse kitchen/dining room, perfect for entertaining the whole family.

    Outside Overlaggan Farmhouse is just as impressive. Sit and watch the ducks on the nearby pond or just relax with a glass of wine on the patio where you will never tire of the wonderful views.

    With miles of quiet country paths and walks to discover from the doorstep, you may not even have time to explore all of this beautiful corner of Dumfries and Galloway where there is much to see and enjoy, and Overlaggan Farmhouse is perfectly positioned for just that.

    Loch Ken is only a short drive away where you can enjoy a variety of water sports and fishing. Take a trip into Castle Douglas, known as Scotland’s “Food Town” where you will find a wide range of lovely cafés and restaurants, not to mention a large variety of unique shops.

    A visit to Threave Gardens, a National Trust property, is a must, as well as the historic Threave Castle, which is situated on an island on the River Dee and accessed by boat.

    The majestic Solway Coast is also within easy reach with 200 miles of spectacular coastline, wonderful sandy beaches and charming little villages along the way. Beach 21 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 5 miles.
