Owl Cottage is a Derbyshire stone cottage with a cosy living room with low beamed ceiling and a feature exposed stone wall. Cuddle up on the sofa in front of the stone and oak hearth with wood burner-effect gas fire, and TV and DVD player to watch your favourite programs on. The kitchen is light and airy and leads directly to the cottage-style garden at the rear of the cottage. You will find the kitchen/dining room is well equipped with all that you would need to cook a lovely meal, where you can eat at the large kitchen table with five chairs to enjoy your meals. There are two good sized double bedrooms upstairs; the front bedroom has a kingsize bed and fabulous views from the low window, the rear bedroom has a standard double bed. Downstairs is where you will find the bathroom, which has a large shower, toilet and small sink. The garden is fully enclosed and the patio is a private spot surrounded by flowers, perfect for enjoying sunny days and enjoying al fresco dining or just a morning cuppa.

There are walks around the village and the Cromford canal and the trams at the museum that take you up the valley to some of the most beautiful views of the Derbyshire Dales. Matlock, 7 miles away, offers a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions such as Gulliver’s Kingdom. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car that takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham - a great place for all the family with its show-caves, nature trail, water gardens and Owl Maze. South of the town is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, while to the north is the market town of Bakewell, as well as Chatsworth House and Park and Haddon Hall, with Carsington Water offering fantastic watersports, not to be missed!
