Everything from start to finish of the booking process with John was absolutely first class, very professional and very friendly. The online photographs do not do Par for the Course justice, the lodge did actually look fantastic in the photographs and that was obviously what made me and my family of 5 book it, but on approach we were all very complimentary on how it looked in real life and when we entered Par for the Course it just got better and better. From the fabulous downstairs bedrooms and sauna and into the amazing kitchen and dining area with such beautiful views from the vast amount of windows. The dining table and chairs seated all of us very comfortably and the kids loved the bar stools for reading and drawing on. Outside the very long and wide veranda was set with a really large table and chairs all very comfortable and where I spent many hours drinking Coffee and indeed wine (we had a very nice Chardonnay left in the vast wine chiller by John) reading whilst my children were enjoying the hot tub day and night too. Up stairs was the breath-taking lounge that can only be appreciated by actually seeing it in real life. It is absolutely awesome, with a fantastic, huge and comfortable space, seating for 8 grownups, sumptuous carpet, an incredible TV combination, including Netflix, DVD and Radio. Off of the lounge was an outside Veranda again, where I spent quite a lot of time just reading and enjoying the views and smiling to myself at some of the golfers trying to find their lost golf balls (something I can appreciate only too well). From the lounge was our bedroom and en-suite, with the most comfortable and massive of beds I have ever experienced when away from home, everyone commented on how well they had slept in their individual beds and rooms, never really expect everyone to be so happy, so it seemed that Par for the Course had definitely done it's magic yet again. The en-suite had his and her hand basins which was a great addition, as was the shower which was perfect in every sense. The sauna was in the downstairs bath, toilet and shower room which was adjacent to the 2 down stairs bedrooms (perfect). We used the sauna 3 times and I can only say it was yet another lovely comfortable and indeed very clean experience. I am a chef and have to say that the facilities were exactly what I have at my home and there was not one single utensil that it lacked, which I have to say there has never been the amount and indeed varied types of glasses, flat-ware, bowls, cups/saucers, mugs and cooking items I have ever experienced at any other holiday, home or abroad. In conclusion, Par for the Course was our best ever holiday accommodation in the UK and was just an absolute pleasure to experience and live in from start to finish. To top it all off, John came to see us off which was a lovely touch and I was very impressed as he wanted to know if there was anything we thought could be done to improve his facilities, because he was genuinely thinking about improving Par for the Course for his future guests. What a Fantastic Gentleman he is and Oh by the way, we couldn't think of anything at all, Perfect Place and a Perfect Holiday, Thank-you John.

Amazing property. Really spacious. Lovely few. Lovely location. Nice and private and quiet but not too far driving to local shops or into main towns. Would highly recommend. It is quite expensive but not to bad if sharing costs. 1 double room and 1 twin room downstairs with a shared bathroom which is a good size. Large double with an suite upstairs. Would love to stay again.

We have just returned from a fantastic week at Par for the Course. The lodge is set in a great location on the edge of the golf course with plenty of outdoor space for the kids to play. The lodge was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need, and was very well kept and exceptionally clean and well looked after. John was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble! We loved the hot tub and sauna and had a very comfortable stay. Although you are restricted on what days children can use the swimming pool we enjoyed going on Friday from 4-7, and was one of only a few in there, staff also very friendly/helpful. We enjoyed all the local amenities and would highly recommend a trip to Gorleston beach, Great Yarmouth for arcades and fair rides as well as the beach, plus Thrigby Hall, Dinosaur adventure, Africa Alive and Hemsby - all within an easy drive. Fantastic holiday and can’t wait to return!

Fabulous lodge, extremely spacious, pure luxury. The downstairs bathroom had a super sauna, the utility room - everything you could possibly want, a bespoke kitchen again with everything to hand. The dining room very spacious and upstairs a beautiful lounge with veranda to sit out on. The master bedroom again very spacious with a door opening out to another veranda and the bespoke en-suite had his and her wash basins, bath, shower and lots of space. The outside veranda at the rear of the lodge looked out onto the golf course and was very peaceful. Eating out furniture as well as other seating and sun lounges. The hot tub was a great hit as was The Barn gym, pool, spa and beauty room a three minutes walk away. Thank you to John, the owner for 101% help and nothing was too much trouble. Anyone would really enjoy a stay here and be well cared for. The bottle of wine in the wine cooler cabinet was much appreciated on our arrival after a long drive!! I cannot praise John and his lovely lodge enough. Go and see for yourselves!!
