The city of Lichfield, 15 miles, is full of history, boasting the only medieval cathedral in Europe with 3 spires, and it is also the birthplace of Samuel Johnson. Shugborough Hall is a 15-minute drive away. For younger guests, Drayton Manor theme park and zoo is a 30-minute drive, as is Alton Towers.
