    Park View is a three-storey end terrace townhouse located down a quiet side street on the edge of the famous Rowntree Park, within the wonderful historic city of York. This superb property has been refurbished throughout in 2019 and now offers contemporary family accommodation for five guests. A parking permit is provided to guests for 1 car.

    This property has a lovely light and airy feel to it and is only a short stroll from the many world renowned visitor attractions and York Racecourse that York is famous for. The living room has duel aspect windows that provide lovely views across the park, while the deep sofas provide the ideal place to relax and watch your favourite movie after a long day exploring the city. The large dining room, again with park views and open access to the galley-style kitchen, provides the sociable hub of this holiday home.

    On the first floor there is both a kingsize and twin bedroom along with the house bathroom where no expense has been spared. With a feature bath and large shower this room really has the wow factor. The single bedroom can be found on the second floor and is a haven of tranquillity, with the Velux window again providing stunning park views. Outside of the property is a small enclosed courtyard with bike storage. Access to Rowntree Park is within yards of the front door where you can enjoy over 20 acres of green space including a children’s playground, tennis courts, bowling greens, basketball court, skateboarding area and general areas for picnicking. The park also features a large lake, a canal and a water cascade, and is home to many ducks, swans and Canada geese.

    A lovely way to enter the city of York is to walk through the park and then across Skeldergate Bridge where you will find yourself at Clifford’s Tower in the very heart of the city. There is so much to do and see in this beautiful city and it is fast gaining a great reputation, not only for its many cafés and restaurants, but also for the plethora of independent retail shops making this an all-round destination. With easy access to cycle routes and the racecourse, this property really will provide you with wonderful holiday memories. Shop and restaurant ¼ mile, pub 100 yards.

    Great house well decorated and equipped and very close to a lovely park. 15 mins walk to the centre of York and right on the cycle routes! Can't fault house or location.

    We had a great break - the house is very clean and freshly decorated. A lovely area to be in and great to be able to have a walk through Rowntree Park or across Millenium Bridge and along the river. The teenagers particularly appreciated that there was wifi and a smart tv!

    The cottage is well appointed to cope with more occupancy than us as a couple but.........on this ocassion, despite the very best attentive services of James, the change to cooler weather rather got the better of the c/h boiler. We had hot water but no heating apart from some hastilly supplied oil filled radiators. A cold bathroom is not pleasant. The location is excellent and led to our car being parked up for the whole week. Our 7th visit to York was, as ever, a memorable one - just cool!
