No smoking. These two very comfortable semi-detached holiday cottages 26817 and 26818 occupy a stunning elevated position on a mixed working farm on the headland just outside the beautiful village of Pennan. Both properties boast fantastic sea views Mill Shore Cottage has a cosy living room which features windows on two sides allowing uninterrupted viewing of Mill Shore below – a secluded shingle beach with sandy shallows beyond offering a unique perspective on the abundant marine life – seals can be spotted easily in the bay whilst further out whales and dolphins are often sighted. Pennan Lodge again has marvellous views of Pennan itself and the bay beyond. In addition to the amazing marine life just round the corner and visible from the cottages is Troup Head a renowned nature reserve featuring the only UK mainland colony of gannets. Next door is Cullykhan Beach another secluded cove reached by a steep walk down to the shore. Pennan is renowned for its famous phone box as featured in the film ’Local Hero’ but it is a lovely village in its own right typical of those strung out along this rugged coastline including Crovie and Gardenstown reached by steep winding roads to the bottom of the cliffs from which they cling. This is an AONB providing wonderful areas for walking. Shop and restaurant 4 miles pub ¼ mile.\n" https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/522/840/522154.jpg 26818

Really great location for touring. Shopping requires a moderate amount of travelling and there are a number of places to dine out. The Lodge is warm, comfortable and peaceful. The owners are helpful and pleasant. I would have no hesitation in recommending Pennan Lodge for a holiday.

An outstanding location in a beautiful part of the country. All the comforts of home are a background to wonderful views with entertainment being provided by the great variety of wildlife.

It is so peaceful here. As it is a few miles to the nearest shops it pays to remember to get some supplies on the way! The owners are very responsive to queries, and go out of their way to ensure their guests enjoy their stay, without being intrusive. The views are amazing.

Quite and relaxing very clean. Owner very friendly but not intrusive. This was our 3rd time there will definitely be going again ?

Had a fab week at the cottage. We were lucky with the weather and the views from the cottage were amazing. Photos don't show a cottage behind Pennan lodge, but in saying that, the neighbours didn't impose in any way. Fell in love with the area and can't wait to come back.

Great holiday , usually stay in the cottage next door but was already booked , only draw back is this has no bath which is more suitable for my wife with mobility problems , but everything as usual was brilliant , lovely clean cottage with everything you need , 8th time there and just gets better .
