Nice cottage but steep drive. Very poor visability when turning out of drive onto A5 - very dangerous had a few mishaps - hedge and wall need to be cut back. Couldn't leave bedroom windows open at night (only top openings). Garden overgrown and untidy so we couldn't sit out and it was hot when we there. Cleanliness was an issue dusty and cobwebs in bedroom mainly behind bed - had to clean. Cutlery draw very dirty with bits of broken wire in - had to wash all cutlery made me feel sick. Tin openers need replacing rusty and don't work!!!!!!!! I am short and cupboards very high up had trouble reaching crockery!!!!! All the extras were welcome just a pity more effort wasn't put into the cleaning.

We enjoyed a great week at Penrhos Lodge. The weather was fantastic which always helps and we were able to enjoy sitting out with a drink in the peaceful and quiet location of Penrhos Lodge after busy days out exploring the Island. The local Premier shop was just a short stroll away and stocked all basic food requirements. The local pub was closed down but that was not a problem for us. From this central location on the Island we were able to visit many beautiful towns and villages around the coast with ease.

We have enjoyed our week in this bright and comfortable cottage. The views around are lovely and the garden is full of interest. The cottage was spotlessly clean, and a few thoughtful extras had been provided. The owners had helpful suggestions for trips and places to eat, and couldn't have been more welcoming.

I was on a business trip and needed somewhere close to where I was working, so not the best person to ask about tourism and leisure. The cottage was excellent for my needs.

The cottage is in need of some TLC. The drive in is very steep and difficult to turn the car around in. The local pub is not a place to eat in. However, the views and wildlife are stunning. It is a 15min drive to anywhere worth visiting so not a based for walking.

Good location for getting around the island which has some great walks. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. The hosts welcoming and helpful. If they could just sort the weather it would be perfect!

Great place to stay to explore Anglesey and quite cosy in the evening times on our return from days out. The cottage is close to the A5 at the bottom of the drive but nevertheless nice and quite. The owner friendly and welcoming and the garden was big enough for our 2 kids to explore and play. WiFi in the property was reliable (approx 50M) Negative points: the bed is a bit lumpy and the kitchen is a bit dated with limited workspace. But overall, had a great stay.

Was made to feel welcome on arrival (a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolate biscuits helped). Spotlessly clean rooms. The owner even did my washing and drying when the fairly new washer/dryer in the cottage bit the dust (its replacement was speedily installed btw). I was working at the National Eisteddfod of Wales, but I intend to return later this year with my wife for a more leisurely visit.

The Lodge was completely unclean with cobwebs under chairs, on walls, behind the beds, the oven was disgusting and we ate out as we did not feel like cooking in it. All cupboards were grimy and ill equipped and the hoover was full of dirt and nowhere had been hoovered and we spent the first day cleaning and we had to buy hoover bags. We also never saw the owners to make any comments or complaints. We booked this because it had a 9.3 rating but cannot understand how this was acheived. We have booked with you many times and normally your rating system is reliable but we felt this lodge was not value for money not clean and totally not fit for purpose
