This is our favourite place because of the cottage itself, its location and the thoughtfulness of Jenny and Dan. It is by far the best place we have ever stayed in. We loved the thoughtfulness that tea, coffee, milk and cake were provided for us ready for our arrival - there was even a bowl of water ready in the kitchen for our dog. The cottage is lovely, clean, well equipped, comfortable, spacious and so very cosy. A great deal of thought to detail and quality has been put into furnishing each room. It is a mix of traditional and modern, the beauty of old and the benefits of new, throughout a very country cottage feel. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need at hand not just equipment wise but also in every days items such as bin bags, food wrapping and cleaning products, it is very homely. The bathroom is new, bright, clean and the best thing is that the windows open wide to enable you to see the stunning garden. The views from the upstairs bedroom windows overlook garden as well and are truly beautiful. The bedrooms have plenty of storage and thoughtful touches of additional bedding and towels readily available. The garden is a haven for wildlife and very private, it isn't overlooked at all because the cottage is located on a very quite country road with high hedges and no street lighting, there aren't any houses nearby overlooking the cottage or garden, it stands alone. It is a place where you can truly get away from it all. There isn't any traffic pollution or noise, the only thing you'll ever really see is the occasional tractor trundling past. The garden is beautiful, tranquil and a lovely environment to observe the wildlife around you. In the background you hear the sounds of sheep, from above the distinctive call of red kites and all around a mix of birdsong from gold finches, sparrows and wood pigeons.. Many an hour can be spent just bumbling around the garden oblivious to time and routine, its a place where you feel free and at peace. The garden pond has adult and baby frogs which can often be found hopping along pathways. You appreciate and respect nature here because its all around you, its a very green space with trees, shrubbery, flowering plants, it has the feeling of a small park, the beauty is that it is so secluded. The garden is bathed in sunshine and also has pockets of shady areas under trees. On clear nights its a good place to gaze at the starts because there isn't street lighting polluting what you can see. Walking down the high hedged country lanes with the dog, stopping by farm filed gates where the views to be seen are stunning, you can see fields upon fields. When you book a holiday on line you never really know what kind of accommodation or location you may experience. For my family and for me personally this cottage will be difficult to beat, if you are wanting to get away from it all, explore new surroundings, spend time with your dear ones then this is the place to do it. Jenny and Dan are both very kind, they prepared the cottage for our stay and when we left on our last morning, they personally arrived to prepare the cottage for the next guests.
