In the village of Lingdale just outside the seaside town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, this cottage has been decorated throughout to a high standard, ensuring you have a wonderful base to return to after a day of exploring.
On the ground floor, you have the open plan living area at the front of the property, with sumptuous seating on the sofas around the TV as well as a dining area where you can all enjoy meals together. The adjoining kitchen is modern and well-equipped, ready for you to create all of your favourite meals, there’s nothing like starting the day with a freshly cooked full English breakfast. From the kitchen, you have a door leading out into the small enclosed yard. The family shower room is also on the ground floor. Upstairs on the first floor, you have two beautifully presented bedrooms, the master bedroom boasts a super kingsize bed and in the second bedroom you have twin beds. This property is a great choice for couples as well as families looking to explore the stunning Yorkshire coastline.
The coast is within 5 miles away, starting with Skinningrove with a peaceful beautiful beach, which is great for fossil hunting; further along the coast is gorgeous Runswick Bay, picturesque Staithes, the surfers’ paradise of Saltburn-by-the-Sea and the historic seafaring town of Whitby with its long golden beach stretching to Sandsend. For walkers, there are walking trails across the national park, including the Cleveland Way along the cliff tops or Roseberry Topping which offers stunning panoramic views.
If you are fascinated by history visit Guisborough Priory and Whitby Abbey, as well as museums including Staithes Heritage Museum, Whitby’s Captain Cook Museum and Hutton le Holes Folk Museum. On the moors there are many pretty rural villages to visit, or why not enjoy a trip on the steam train from Whitby to take in the scenery? For the adventurous, there are water sports including white water rafting, sailing and paddle boarding at Tees Barrage and Scaling Dam, as well as surf schools in Saltburn, Sandsend and Whitby. Beach 4 miles. Pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.
