A variety of superb beaches are easily accessible; Dinard, Saint-Jacut, Saint-Lunaire and Saint-Briac are elegant resorts boasting long sandy beaches. Saint-Malo, the fortified pirate stronghold, is just across the river. It is worth exploring the fortified Intramuros quarter, with its picturesque historic buildings, cobbled streets, cafés and boutiques; or visit the aquarium. Golf lovers will appreciate the cliff top links course at Saint-Briac; one of the oldest in France. Shop and restaurant 2.5km, beach 6.5km.
