    Clean and comfortable. Excellent location in beautiful village. The flat is a bit damp and we found it hard to dry clothes and towels but all in all good value and we had a wonderful week!

    It is a very clean flat and nicely presented but we had some issues. Bring earplugs! There is no sound proofing to the flat above and you will hear every sound made by the guests upstairs. The parking bay outside fits only a small/medium car and there is little parking available in the village. When we arrived in Bamburgh, we were contacted by the flat cleaning/managing couple who explained that the toilet had blocked and flooded the shower. We were asked to find accommodation in a hotel for at least two nights and were told to plan on the repair taking until midweek. They were very apologetic and upset but the owner seemed not to be concerned. He did not contact us or check we were ok. He did not organise an emergency plumber and we had to wait until Monday afternoon before we knew if we could return to the flat. Due to how busy it was in high season in the village, we had to book three nights at the hotel to ensure we had a bed. The owner paid for the first two nights but refused to pay for the third despite us having to wait until late in the day to find out if we could use the flat. (The hotel kindly charged the owner £100 less than they should have). We were then left £115 out of pocket ourselves. It is a lovely location and village in a beautiful area that we love but I would not stay with this owner again.

    Had a really nice time here. Only downside was being on the ground floor was quite noisy. Not sure if the upstairs people were just extra noisy but they did use the washing machine in the middle of the night most nights and it was right above the bedroom. Other than that the location was perfect and it was very comfortable.

    Good location, warm and well equipped. However the woeful lack of soundproofing between the two appartments meant you heard absolutely every noise the occupants of the flat above did. Wooden floors squeaked, when they used the toilet, snoring, moving about, talking; the list is endless. It was like having a herd of elephants above us. It completely spoilt our holiday. Because the appartment is below ground level, the main living area was dark and artificial lighting was needed even on sunny day, the twin bedroom and the shower room smelt musty. This the first time we have ever written a bad holiday review and sorry to do so, but the level of noise that we could hear from the family above really too much. The low rating reflects this along with the lack of natural light. In additio, parking was really tight and this made it difficult to access the ground floor appartment.

    Lovely cottage in an excellent location, ideal for the beach and local restaurants and bars. The cottage has everything you could possibly need while on holiday. The parking space is small but manageable. All in all a brilliant place to stay.

    Well located within easy walking distance of amenities. Warm, clean and very well equipped. We had no complaints with the accommodation and have holidayed in Bamburgh many times. Although a dog is allowed we prefer a fenced in green space for our spaniel, this is the only reason we would not stay here again.
