    Puffin’s Rest is a 1920’s mid terraced cottage, recently refurbished to provide good quality self catering holiday accommodation in the coastal village of Amble. It is situated in an idyllic location a mere 200 metres from a small beach with rocky outcrops and views to Coquet Island. There are many facilities available within a short walk of Puffin’s Rest, including small beaches, rocky outcrops, the marina, swimming pool and the harbour where you can charter fishing boats or book a boat trip to Coquet Island, where puffins and grey seals are regularly seen. Amble is known locally as ’the friendliest port’ and has a good range of shops and eating places.
    Within walking distance is the picturesque village of Warkworth, dominated by its majestic castle, only 2 miles north; and just south of Amble is Druridge Bay with a 7 mile stretch of beach and a country park - ideal for cycling, walking, water sports and horse riding.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Puffins Rest. The cottage was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed sitting in the conservatory & garden. On street parking was easy and Amble has plenty of amenities with a thriving harbour area.

    The house is well equipped, comfortable and very well placed for walking into town via the harbour or the streets. It is also perfect for immediate access to the southward English Coastal Path just five minutes away. All in all a very convenient "borrowed" pied a terre and we shall be back for a third visit at least

    Very comfortable, warm cottage. Minor point, did not totally like carrying plates etc through to the conservatory to eat, perfect OK eating in the conservatory. Amble very pleasant town with everything you need plus good walking.

    Situated in a quiet area of the village and close to the beaches and park. There have been improvements in the home and the enclosed garden is a plus for an active child.
