    Peaceful and quiet location with excellent views over the lake to the Langdale Pikes. Nice little stream and mini waterfall to the rear of the building which is lovely to wake up to. Well appointed kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer ( very handy if you get wet or dirty more than anticipated ). Huge patio doors with balcony to front and rear.We find it an ideal holiday let, which is why we keep coming back!.

    This apartment has a slightly dated feel but this really does not matter. The fact that it is comfortable and spacious with wonderful views of the lake and close proximity to restaurants makes it a perfect place to stay .

    The photo showing the outside does not do this apartment justice at all. Such a surprise when we arrived at the apartment. It looked grubby from outside but inside was excellent. It was sparkling clean,everything you need is supplied and the view of Lake Windemere is something eelse. I have never before in over 40 years ever wanted to return to a holiday rental but I have to say I would go back again. Great location although if you are not active it is a steep hill to climb to the apartment.

    We returned to Rattleback for a second stay in a year, as we were so impressed with the comfort, location and peacefulness of the property. We certainly weren’t disappointed. We left the car there most of the time and enjoyed scenic walks on the surrounding hills as well as down to the boat landing stage and to the open-top bus stop. Lovely cafes, pubs and restaurants also all within walking distance (a bit of a hill involved, but this is the Lake District after all!). We especially love the balconies at Rattlebeck to the front overlooking the lake and from the main bedroom overlooking the Dales Way.

    Fabulous stay at Rattlebeck. The view from the sitting room is no less than spectacular. 10 minute walk into Bowness with its numerous restaurants and attractions. We will be booking this apartment again in the very near future.

    Great accommodation,great location..been visiting here for a number of years and love it though parts of the property are starting to show its age...number of cracks around property (kitchen,bedroom) ,bathroom ceiling lights rusting - just needs fresh coat of paint/spruceing up?...will return whenever we can

    Exceptionally comfortable, well furnished and kitted out apartment with everything you need and more. We felt very much at home here and loved the spacious, clean apartment only a short (but steep) walk to the lake and shops, we managed to do without our car much of the time. Would highly recommend as one of the most comfortable holiday apartments we have stayed in.

    A spacious, comfortable flat in a very quiet location. Great view through the lounge patio windows to the front, and lovely green outlook to the rear with field and trees. Not overlooked. Master bedroom at the rear has large patio doors with a balcony. We will definitely stay here again.
