We had a fantastic stay at Rectory Cottage. The owner was very warm and welcoming and made us feel at home right away. Inside the cottage was beautifully furnished and had two very comfortable beds.
The garden was ideal for our Labrador being fully enclosed. Will definitely be returning. Rick, Stephen, Clara and Reuben
A beautiful cottage, conservatory and hot tub were lovely. The lounge is cosy and perfect, beds very comfortable. Garden is completely secure for dogs to play in. The Blankney walks are right on your doorstep and beautiful.
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely, tranquil cottage which is set within easy distance of many attractions. Erica is a perfect host: on hand for any queries or problems but never intrusive. We were very impressed when we had a leaky tap which Erica fixed herself immediately!
The welcome pack included delicious cup cakes made by Erica's daughter who also came by to greet us as Erica was away that day.
The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and really well equipped. There were lots of thoughtful touches, such as the mini shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, soap and shower caps in the bathrooms and the fresh flowers in the dining area.
We enjoyed the meticulously maintained hot tub and the log burner, and were lucky enough to have the weather for sitting outside with tea and cake, enjoying the peace and birdsong.
Rectory Cottage is a fantastic home away from home. Extremely private and peacefully quiet yet close enough to numerous places of interest. Erica is a wonderful host and kindly provided us a welcome basket of fresh eggs, milk, bread and homemade banana and chocolate chip cake! Thank you. The cottage is well stocked with everything you could need, Erica really has thought of everything. Attention to detail is second to none. The cottage is modern and clean. Everything looks brand new. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub after long days out exploring the countryside and firing up the log burner in the evenings. Our pooch loved running around the enclosed garden and staring at the pheasants in the next field. If you like peaceful, quiet countryside retreats but with plenty to do in the area then Rectory Cottage is the place for you. Highly recommend.

The cottage was lovely everything you need, including the hot tub. Lovely kitchen diner lounge is a little compact! Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. Private location good parking. A little way from the shops and pubs. Very quiet at night. The only thing that bothered us the heating really dropped at times before firing up, we felt quiet cool, would be nice to be able to control the heating! The welcome pack was excellent and the owner Erica was lovely very friendly.
A truly beautiful cottage, very private. The owner is the perfect host, attention to detail is great - a home baked cake, bread, eggs, milk, preserves provided on arrival, couldn’t ask for more! Within 20 minutes of Lincoln (we used the park and ride from Waitrose in Lincoln) and Skegness an hour away which has a lovely aquarium.
Myself wife and 2 children 10 and 6 had the most wonderful time at Rectory Cottage 8th-15th February 2019. I would without reservation Highly recommend the cottage with all the luxury and comfort thats comes with it. This cottage meets the highest of standards and is positioned with all the privacy yet access to nearby quaint villages and approx 10 miles from Lincoln City. The Jaquzi is accessible round the clock and the music player and lights on are a nice extra. We received a lovely welcome with fresh bread milk fresh orange eggs tea coffee. All the amenities needed at your disposal. A great base for lovely countryside walks and it's around a 25 minute walk to a lovely village nearby called Metheringham, 5 mins from Blankney Golf course. A very private and a very welcomed modern and quaint property. We Visited Lincoln Cathedral and many National trust Parks nearby. I would recommend a visit to Belton house (fab play area for kids indoor and outdoor) and if venturing further outside Lincolnhire, Clumber Park is a gem. The wood burner in Rectory cottage is also a nice touch with the required wood fir use. A much needed and welcomed break will return for sure. The property is very spacious and has heated flooring along with conventional radiators. Lovely conservatory with heated flooring. Cosy and nicely positioned to watch kids ha ing fun in hot tub.
A beautiful cottage. Everything we could need was provided and more! Warm, comfortable and very well maintained.
Stunning location out in the country but close enough to the city! Great feel of the country life :-)
Erica our host was so good, always attentive and provided alot of information.
A great place to get away from it all - will certainly be returning!
Great little cottage. Will definitely be staying again
Excellent stay at the Rectory Cottage. Had every amenities that we needed and more. The cottage was clean value for money and the owner was so helpful. Added bonus the hot tub. We stayed for Christmas and was able to cook xmas dinner with everything we needed in the kitchen. Used the log fire which was so comforting and very cozy. Would stay again and would definitely recommend. 10 out of 10.
As a group of middle aged ladies we had a great pre Christmas weekend , the cottage was wonderful and the welcome pack was very thoughtful [ lovely cake ! ] thank you.
Attention to detail and quality of furnishings is second to none. Having stayed at dozens of cottages over the years, this one is definitely in our top three. Excellent value for money and beautifully clean. Erica makes a delicious lemon drizzle cake too! We highly recommend this cottage. 👍🏻
