These two semi-detached cottages (refs UK11963 and UK11964) are thought to be among the oldest buildings in Ironbridge, and are set close to the town centre which is widely regarded as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The bridge itself was built in 1779 and holds a prominent position in the centre of the town, from which there is easy access to any one of the ten museums in the area and The Maws Craft Centre. The town offers guests plenty of choice when it comes to dining out, with many bars and restaurants being within walking distance of the properties. River Cottages have great road networks linking Shropshire, Herefordshire, Cheshire and mid and north Wales. The historic towns of Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Much Wenlock and Bridgnorth are all within easy driving distance, as are National Trust properties such as Powis Castle, Chirk Castle and Attingham Park. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 8 guests.
