    Kitchen/dining room: With breakfast area, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and door leading to sitting-out area.

    First Floor:
    Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed and en-suite with shower over bath, and toilet.
    Bedroom 2: With twin beds and en-suite with shower over bath, and toilet.

    LPG central heating, gas and electricity (£1.50 per person, per night 1st Oct-1st Mar), bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot available on request.

    Enclosed lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.

    Set close to the shore of Lunan Bay, Riverside is one of a small group of houses in a wonderful seaside location, accessed by a farm road with a section of track, and with the stunning beach just yards away. Well furnished with contemporary fittings and plenty of space for couples or families, this semi-detached property is sheltered by the sand dunes, and just beyond is the magnificent 3-mile crescent of sand which makes up Lunan Bay, one of the finest beaches in Scotland. The beach is popular with surfers, horse riders and bird watchers, yet at times visitors can find wonderful peace and quiet. Traditional salmon fishing is sometimes still practised in summertime, with nets strung from poles on the beach to trap fish in the falling tide. The Lunan Water meanders onto the beach in a beautiful estuary. High on a grassy bluff overlooking the river and bay are the ruins of Red Castle, built in the 1200s for King William of Scotland. There is a café 220 yards away offering locally produced food, which is great for breakfast or snacks after a spell on the beach. Further afield, but still within easy reach, the towns of Montrose and Arbroath are well worth a visit, while the Angus Glens offer miles of walking in peace and quiet in total contrast to the beach scenery. In the wider area are many notable places for visits such as Glamis Castle. Shop and pub 4 miles, restaurants 3 miles.
    Riverside (UK5325) can be booked together with Fishermans Bothy (UK5065) and Beachside (UK5197) to accommodate up to 14 guests.

    Great cottage, a stones throw from the beach. Very spacey. Remote but to 5 minutes drive to the lovely town of Montrose were you can get everything you need. Best haggis we’ve ever had from Leavers in Montrose. Would stay here again.

    A lovely cottage in the most amazing location! Great communication from the owner, lovely clean am ery spacious house with comfortable beds/sofas, well stocked kitchen and great showers. It is literally 2 minutes from an amazing beach with huge sand dunes for us, kids and dog to climb. The beach is immaculate, the car never moved all weekend as we just walked- the beach, the lovely wee cafe and Red Castle. All in all a very relaxing weekend all round, just what we all needed. We have already rebooked for next year!

    Excellent location for trip away with our dog. So close to the beach it was perfect. House offers great private accommodation with good layout and private bathrooms.

    We had a wonderful holiday, the cottage and location are both beautiful. A short walk from the glorious beach, which our dogs loved. The cottage itself is extremely spacious and comfortable, and the owner friendly and helpful. We hope to visit again.
