We loved our stay at Robins Nest. It was all we wanted- nice and quiet, log fire, steeped in history and beautiful views. We stayed for Christmas with our 4 kids and big dog- who loved the big garden. It is hard to walk the dog though as the roads are very narrow with no paths and the tractors made the road outside the cottage thick with mud. It would have been nice to have a little 'walks' guide so we could explore a bit more and perhaps find the local pub- not sure if there was one? The hot tub was nice but there was no outdoor light so we had to find our way by torchlight We think the chemicals may have been a bit out of sync as it turned my jewelry a funny colour and made our eyes sting. On the plus side it took the dye out of my daughters hair which we have bee trying to do for ages. When we took out the chlorine floating device and it was a lot better the next day. We enjoyed some fun times with the family in there. The main bed has a hard mattress we had a swap around several times to find a comfy bed, like Goldilocks and the three bears. Loved the kind touches from our host who left us a nice card and home made marmalade and local apple juice. Still enjoying the marmalade now. We really loved it, thankyou from all of us. Wonderful memories made
