Enjoying a peaceful setting, this detached cottage offers the perfect base from which to explore the Scottish Highlands. The nearby village of Beauly has a variety of shops and restaurants, and Inverness, the Highland capital, is only 13 miles away. A short drive south to Loch Ness and Drumnadrochit will allow you to explore the ruins of Urqhuart Castle, or head to the east and visit the famous Culloden Battlefield, Fort George and Cawdor Castle. Take a trip along the Moray coastline with an abundance of wildlife and plenty of unspoilt sandy beaches to enjoy.
There are many outdoor activities in the area, including mountain biking, a variety of water sports, hill climbing, horse riding, paint balling, golf and quad biking. Steeped in history, the many historic sites, museums and ruined castles are worth visiting. Follow the North Coast 500 and explore the counties of Caithness and Sutherland, or visit Aviemore, the Cairngorms National Park and the Isle of Skye, which are all easily accessed. After a day out, the garden at Roe Deer Cottage is the perfect place in which to relax and unwind. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.
