It was a nice cottage but was a bit surprising that there was no folder of information and no milk or anything on arrival which is unusual.

We had a lovely family break away at this cottage. It is rural enough to enjoy the countryside but near enough to some lovely places to visit (Chirk Castle 10 mins, Shrewsbury 25 mins-30 mins ). The cottage backs onto the owners horses but this adds to the charm as the horse owners are lovely and friendly whilst they go about their business and you enjoy watching the horses in the field (they only come in the morning and tea time). The hot tub is fabulous and enjoyed by both the adults and kids alike. The cottage is really rustic and has all you need, nice bedrooms and comfy beds, good living space and kitchen along with a peaceful outside seating area. We'd certainly go back.

The cottage is set in a beautiful location, away from the hustle and bustle and surrounded by lovely views. It was very peaceful and well equipped, Oswestry is a good town to take a wander round in the afternoon and has plenty of supermarkets to choose from if you wanted to buy provisions. We found the cottage comfortable and cosy, the hot tub was great - it was a lovely weekend for us as a family to get away, spend some time together and relax.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Only slight criticism is that a bit of fencing/screening around the hot tub would add to the experience of allowing use of the hot tub during day instead of when dark but otherwise a great time.

When entering the cottage we had a look around and noticed a few dead fly's? We looked upstairs and there was an infestation of live and dead fly's. Called owner who came over and vaccumed them up. We then found out the cottage had not been checked for a few weeks? We found lots of small things that didn't work properly. The owner does need to check everything and correct the faults.

Cottage is in a lovely countryside location which was peaceful. The cottage itself felt a bit unloved and was missing some of the homely touches you would expect from a home from home. TV/Freeview didn’t work properly, lamps with broken lightbulbs. Cooker hood didn’t work. Broken shelves in fridge. Cottage was attached and you could clearly hear neighbours. Also hot tub was described as private. Private for your own use yes but right in the open so neighbours can see you and also stables opposite which were visited twice daily. Could do with being screened off for privacy.

Lovely wee place from which to enjoy our holiday. Lots to do and see locally. House well equipped, clean and comfortable. An updated visitors guide would have been useful as well as info about recycling, but these are just minor things. Would return and would consider using both properties for a bigger get together.
