Lovely cottage- lots of atmosphere and charm. Suitable for couples or family of four with children old enough to run up and down very steep stairs. My sister and I and my Westie, Lily, had a really happy week. Nice little area at the back - we sat outside a few times. Everything on the doorstep - shops, restaurants, takeaways, steam railway. No problem with parking space.

A great quirky little cottage that was full of character but also all mod cons! A 2 minute walk into the town, as well as nearby restaurants and takeaway food outlets. We really enjoyed our week there.

Lovely little cottage beautifully furnished. Welcome gifts were very much appreciated. Road very noisy but we sort of got used to it. Only small thing was although garden enclosed, it wasn’t dog friendly due to low wall near gate, therefore couldn’t sit in the garden without tying the dog up. But did not ruin our stay at all, will definitely be back

Some measures could be taken to reduce the noise of traffic.

A lovely cottage which we stayed in for a week. The place was cosy, clean and the owners very welcoming. It was a perfect base in the heart of Pickering and not far from the heritage railway station. The area by the cottage was very quiet and the traffic on the main road didn't bother us. Definitely recommended.

Cottage was lovely, Pickering was a really nice town and great base for visiting other places. The week we were there it rained the whole time so everyday we were soaked to the skin more than once so when we got back to the cottage we lit the log burner which was lovely and warm and the only drawback we had was no tumble dryer so wet towels and clothes we hung on a very small airer which was not big enough for 2 bath towels let alone much else apart from that everything was great. Maybe one could be put next to the freezer or in the cupboard between kitchen and livingroom?

A lovely cottage with lots of homely touches. Very clean, ideal location for touring, close to town centre. Only negative is road noise and steep and narrow staircase.
