Lying peacefully on the banks of the glistening River Teifi within extensive grounds and on a 91-acre working farm, these traditional, Welsh barn conversions (refs JUK, JUL, OAM and OFA) have been converted to a very good standard and offer a perfect base for a family or couples looking to explore the dramatic coastline and rugged mountains of west Wales. Conveniently located just 2 miles away from the charming, market town of Cardigan, Rosehill Farm is situated well off the beaten track and is surrounded by rolling terrain where horses, goats and lambs call home. On the approach to the farm, guests will be greeted with spectacular views of the River Teifi, which is famously renowned for its freshwater salmon and trout fishing, and superb water based activities including kayaking and sailing. Each cottage has been sympathetically restored to uncover much of its original charm and character, including exposed beams and stone walls. Outside, guests can relax on their own private patio area, perfect for unwinding after a busy day’s adventure whilst watching the red kites and peregrine falcons soar over the magnificent scenery.
Close to the iconic Pembrokeshire National Park, guests can ramble the majestic Preseli Hills and discover picturesque walks and ancient monuments, including the Bronze Age burial chamber of Pentre Ifan Dolmen, which stands beautifully in rugged terrain. The nearby market towns of Cardigan, Newcastle Emlyn and Carmarthen are all rich with Welsh culture and offer a selection of traditional pubs, boutique and antique gift shops, along with some restaurants waiting to be explored. The magnificent coastline is just a short drive away and is home to golden beaches, horseshoe coves and the pretty coastal towns of Newport, New Quay and Aberaeron, which are set in tranquil fishing harbours where bottlenose dolphins and seals can be spotted on a clear day. For an interesting day out, take a scenic drive to Britain’s smallest city of St David’s and discover its 12th-century cathedral and medieval ruins of Bishops’s Palace, or take a sea safari around the off-shore island of Ramsey, cruising close to seabirds, seals and the occasional dolphin. Shops and pub 2 miles.

We thought it was a shame that, for a bit more effort, and listening to the constructive comments given by hirers, this could be a lovely property. The level of cleanliness unfortunately left a lot to be desired. Particularly the en-suite wet room - the floor was filthy, especially round the toilet and cupboard under the sink. The door does not close in either of the bathrooms. The heating is woefully inadequate, especially as the eating area in the conservatory does not have any heat at all. The paintwork is badly scratched and in need of attention. The oven is extremely dirty and the hob is difficult to use as all the numbers have disappeared. These are the major problems but there are many other minor. Such a pity as Gwen is a delightful person to deal with.

Cottage is lovely if a little basic. Could do with more ceiling lights, had to more the lamps around a lot. Wet room downstairs doesn't drain very well so always a wet floor. Lovely location. However, the spent hours mowing the grass on the sunday which made it less enjoyable as this was the best day for weather and we were trying to relax outside

Fabulous location, amazing scenery and the tranquility to soak it all up! Beautiful holiday with family, friends and our two dogs. Accommodation is basic but very functional. The hosts, Gwen in particular, was amazing and first class service. This is definitely a place that we will visit again as it can only be described as ‘perfect oasis of calm’ and celebrates the welsh countryside on your doorstep!!!

We’ve stayed here before and had an excellent experience . However this time was as such that we will never return. The property smelled strongly of curry (obviously hadn’t been cleaned properly) , the curtains were ripped , the carpet was worn and tired looking , the hot tub was ice cold and took 2 days to reheat back to the optimum temperature. On top of this , the electricity kept tripping and the owner was very unhelpful, blaming us for having the kettle on at the same time as the oven (?!) . She seemed overwhelmed by the upkeep required at the cottage , saying she didn’t have time to change the curtains , deep clean the property (cleaning is what we pay an extra premium for). She massively deflected the problems we had and presented as aggressive and argumentative in her approach which is a great shame.

Nice owner very accommodating, but the cottage was very dull set in a lovely place, shower kept backing up, were told it was because of the rain it was'nt, you could tell from the black mould around the sink unit it had been happening a long time, not many home comforts, electricity kept tripping, no wi fi, could have been cleaner windows full of cobwebs, not worth what we paid hot tub area was filthy, but that was clean thank god. will not go back.
