Lying peacefully on the banks of the glistening River Teifi within extensive grounds and on a 91-acre working farm, these traditional, Welsh barn conversions (refs JUK, JUL, OAM and OFA) have been converted to a very good standard and offer a perfect base for a family or couples looking to explore the dramatic coastline and rugged mountains of west Wales. Conveniently located just 2 miles away from the charming, market town of Cardigan, Rosehill Farm is situated well off the beaten track and is surrounded by rolling terrain where horses, goats and lambs call home. On the approach to the farm, guests will be greeted with spectacular views of the River Teifi, which is famously renowned for its freshwater salmon and trout fishing, and superb water based activities including kayaking and sailing. Each cottage has been sympathetically restored to uncover much of its original charm and character, including exposed beams and stone walls. Outside, guests can relax on their own private patio area, perfect for unwinding after a busy day’s adventure whilst watching the red kites and peregrine falcons soar over the magnificent scenery.
Close to the iconic Pembrokeshire National Park, guests can ramble the majestic Preseli Hills and discover picturesque walks and ancient monuments, including the Bronze Age burial chamber of Pentre Ifan Dolmen, which stands beautifully in rugged terrain. The nearby market towns of Cardigan, Newcastle Emlyn and Carmarthen are all rich with Welsh culture and offer a selection of traditional pubs, boutique and antique gift shops, along with some restaurants waiting to be explored. The magnificent coastline is just a short drive away and is home to golden beaches, horseshoe coves and the pretty coastal towns of Newport, New Quay and Aberaeron, which are set in tranquil fishing harbours where bottlenose dolphins and seals can be spotted on a clear day. For an interesting day out, take a scenic drive to Britain’s smallest city of St David’s and discover its 12th-century cathedral and medieval ruins of Bishops’s Palace, or take a sea safari around the off-shore island of Ramsey, cruising close to seabirds, seals and the occasional dolphin. Shops and pub 2 miles.

This is a wonderful place to stay for up to 4 adults with all without their dogs… The location is breathtaking, view over the river Teifi, Five minute drive from Aberteifi/Cardigan with its great amenities and Poppet Beach (right hand side of the beach is dog friendly!). About 20-30 minutes drive from some of the other parts of the wonderful Pembrokeshire Coast including Newport (our favourite beach) and then further afield Fishguard, St David’s and (if you must) Tenby. We had a great time visiting old burial chambers and wonderful Melin Tregwynt mill and Cafe. There is so much to do around here… Cottage was extremely comfortable, ours was the closest to the river. Clean on arrival and there was even a hot tub! This is a working phone, so dogs need to be kept on the lead which was a little frustrating for our pampered pooches… There was pretty much everything we needed. Kitchen has all the equipment that you will need to take all of your own ingredients with you including salt and pepper… Not a problem but it’s just best to know in advance. This is a wonderful place to get away from it all and to explore Cardiganshire and Pembrokeshire.

We stayed in the lovelly Teifi at half term, we were met on arrival and shown around and informed on the local area, activities and foodie places. The cottage has everything you need and was very clean and very comfortable (the double bed is slightly firm for me) we enjoyed some amazing sunsets from the hot tub. Our children had a massive area to play in and went down to the river everyday to play on the rope swing. Great views from the living room and although we didn’t really need it we lit the wood burner and sat with the patio doors open watching the wildlife, fishing on the banks near the cottage was a bit quiet as it’s so tidal but 10 mins up the road at Cenarth there’s some great trout fishing. Locally Cardigan has some great restaurants and an amazing brownie shop, Pizza’s under a massive tipi where local sourced food is top of the menu. We did White Water River Kayaking locally and sea fishing trips just 20 mins away, but always loved coming back to the cottage to chill in this lovelly peaceful part of Wales, a great holiday with great surroundings and facilities.....thanks.

The cottage is in a great location overlooking the river. The beds were comfortable with lovely bed linen, the lack of basic everyday items let the cottage down. There was no name on the cottage and the wrong cottage information book was in the cottage which caused some confusion, no basic information about local vets, shops, petrol station etc although all the animals were mentioned! There was very little wood, lighting wood or firefighters and no information where the wood shed was. So after driving 200 miles we then had to go out again to find all the items that should have been there. Not knowing where the shops were!! There was also no hover bags not even one in the hover, no bin bags, no dish cloths, I could go on. I contacted the owner a week before our holiday began to find out about keys etc but did not get back to me. The owner lives on site but did not once come to see if we were OK. Most of the things I have mentioned have Been flagged up before, it seems it's all fallen on deaf ears!!!! A little TLC goes a long way.

Lovely spot and cottage. The owner Nicky is helpful and ameanable. Only criticism is the bedroom carpets have seen better days whilst not dirty are looking a bit threadbare. In the double room for some reason one of the beds was much harder than the other and both could have done with heavier duvats considering the time of year we were there. In general we had a nice relaxing time and the place was adequate for our needs.

We had the perfect weekend break. The location is perfect, you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere surrounded by perfect greenery and the river teifi, yet only 10 minute drive from the town centre and local attractions like Poppit sands, Mwnt beach and pubs and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

The cottage was good location and views was excellent. I feel with a little more attention to detail from the owners the cottage could be excellent, there was no soap in the bathroom and cobwebs on the wooden beams , the over and kettle was dirty and one toilet roll . All quick fixes from the owners that had it been in place a excellent rating would have been given .
