Roslyn is a detached cottage, set into the hillside above Torrisdale Bay, one of the most spectacular beaches to be found in the British Isles. Built by the owner’s father fifty years ago to maximise the views across the bay, the cottage enjoys the most amazing seascapes from every aspect. Roslyn has been renovated to provide bright contemporary accommodation throughout, thoughtfully furnished with your comfort in mind. The fully fitted kitchen has an oil Rayburn as well as an electric cooker. There is plenty of room for family breakfasts, and there is a separate dining room and a breakfast area in the kitchen. The charming living room has a feature electric wood burner and enjoys wonderful views across the sands to the sea beyond. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor as well as a family bathroom, ideal for less mobile guests. Upstairs are two further bedrooms, which have been well presented with colour coordinated soft furnishings and sumptuous beds.
Roslyn is situated on the renowned North Coast 500 route, arguably one of the most scenic road trips, encompassing wild countryside, spectacular coastlines, numerous villages, small towns and historic places of interest along the way. There are superb coastal walks right on the doorstep, as well as ancient castles, archaeological sites and places of interest all within a short drive. For wildlife enthusiasts there are puffins, cormorants, seals, dolphins, whales, deer and pine marten all seen in the region. There are good facilities in the small village of Bettyhill, including two shops (one of which includes a post office), hotel, café, restaurant and even a swimming pool. Golf, fishing, kayaking, sailing, cycling, horse riding and hill-walking are all local pursuits. Beach ½ mile. Shops, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
