Conveniently situated in the Old Town area of the village of North Ballachulish, and very close to historic and scenic Glencoe, this cosy studio with its own outside seating area enjoys spectacular views over Loch Leven and the mountains of Glencoe. This is an ideal location to serve as a base to tour around the west Highlands and islands of Scotland, only a short drive from Oban, the Gateway to the Isles, and Fort William, the Outdoor Capital of the UK.
These two studios have their own separate entrance accessed by external steps at the side, which allow guests to come and go as they please. There is also private parking for one vehicle per studio. Studio 1 enjoys the most stunning views of the Glencoe mountains and beyond, benefiting greatly from the addition of a separate living room area with patio doors with steps leading to a private decking area. Surrounded by nature, you’ll see wildlife from each window and during your walks in the local area.
This bijou studio is tastefully furnished and very well equipped, providing welcoming open-plan accommodation with a comfortable feature double bed, well-equipped dining/kitchen area and a modern tiled shower room. To assist you in planning your stay, the owners have provided a guest information folder as well as a small library of books and board games for those lazy days inside! There is shared access to another raised decked area looking over beautiful Loch Linnhe, with a gas barbecue, picnic table, an undercover cycle store, an outside drying area, an ironing board/iron plus a freezer.
Ballachulish is only a few minutes from this stunning wee studio and boasts a Tourist Information Centre, gift shop and a café which serves scrumptious food. Self-caterers are also well served by a small shop and post office with cash machine. The Lochaber area, where this delightful apartment is located, is enjoyed by walkers of all capabilities who can access routes suitable for all abilities. Ideal for the more adventurous guests too, being just a few minutes’ drive from various outdoor activities at Ballachulish and also Glencoe Mountain Resort, which offers exciting activities all year round. Just up the road is the National Ice Climbing Centre, and The Dragon’s Tooth Golf Course is located just 1 mile away. There are numerous munros to climb within a half hour drive from and the Ben Nevis Range is also within easy reach. Cyclists can easily access the National Cycle Route 78 and there are mountain biking and skiing ranges at Aonach Mhor and Glencoe. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
