Great cottage in a very quite part of Kent. Plenty of National Trust places to visit, that are not too far by car.....the garden is secure so if you have a dog then it's ideal.

A lovely cottage in a quiet area. Looked brand new and so clean you could eat off the floor. A pleasure to come home to at the end of the day. Excellent big comfortable bed.The kitchen was really big so I would have put in a dishwasher, there is a washing machine. Very pleasant owner too. Lots of castles and gardens to visit very close by. Popular with dog owners although we didn't have one. In the winter it has double glazing which prevents the windows from opening ( I think). Maybe this is because it is a listed building. Would love to come again.

What a super cottage. Very big for two people, well stocked, and surrounded by beautiful countryside. A peaceful haven for a couple with a dog.

A beautiful cottage.Very quiet and relaxing break in the countryside. The cottage has everything you need, and is very clean. The owner was fantastic, giving us a tour around on our arrival.A big fully enclosed wrap around garden gave our dog hours of fun and excercise.Would definitely recommend.

perfect relaxing holiday very friendly owners ,stunning listed cottage .. very quiet location sheep in a field right next to cottage.. very central location to visit all the lovely places in kent /sussex … one little drawback was the very busy a21 nearby which can become a bottle neck which seems to be any time in the day , but saying that where nowadays on holiday can you get away from that sad fact at some point !! overall a very enjoyable stay

For peace and relaxation this cottage was great. Surrounded by fields and there was very little traffic on the road, it was set in a large garden which was very secure and therefore ideal for our dog. The owners live in the adjacent property but you do not feel overlooked. It was converted beautifully and had oodles of character but still had all the mod cons we have come to expect (although it was missing a dishwasher unfortunately). The wifi was good enough to make good use of the smart TV when the weather was bad. No walking from the cottage which is a shame but 10 minutes drive took you to plenty of places.

Lovely cottage. Quiet and relaxing. Just what we wanted.

Really lovely cottage in the middle of nowhere - perfect place to spend a couple of nights getting away from it all.

Lovely cottage, beautifully presented in stunning countryside.

A great cottage in the middle of nowhere - which is a good thing for us! Stayed with our (reactive) dog, so having an enclosed garden is really important for us and she loved it. Served as a great base for a few days walking in the local area. Was a 10 min drive to local shops that we could see (there may have been closer though). The cottage itself is really spacious for two people and had everything we needed. Only way to improve for us would be to provide some more personal info on the local area (walks, pubs, shops etc) - as there were plenty of info leaflets for attractions, but there wasn't anything about what was on the doorstep. All-in-all, a great stay and we would definitely consider returning.

Beautifully restored old cottage with all modern amenities in very quiet location. Great access to castles, gardens and coast.

Property was fabulous, very clean and was very well appointed. A little out of the way but if you want a quiet getaway it is ideal. Owners were perfect. Very helpful and.only minutes away if you neede them. Would definitely like to go back.

Very well equipped and comfortable grade II listed building on two floors. Ideal for local car touring and walking is possible. We found it perfect as couple with small dog and totally secure large, mainly grass garden. Nearest shop (e.g. for pint of milk on Sunday) was at Paddock Wood, about 5 miles away.) The limitation of the listed building comfort is that en-suite isn't available so nocturnal journeys needed to go downstairs for facilities. If walking, Cuckoo lane is single track with few cars leading to Tong lane which has faster traffic as it is slightly wider but not recommended as there are no safe footpaths. There is a field gate about 150 yards at end of Cuckoo lane which allows walking just inside orchard boundary to connect with public footways. Dogs need to be kept on lead due local sheep worrying issues.
