A superb holiday cottage, with so much thought going into the high quality finish throughout this beautiful barn conversion. Everything was spotlessly clean, with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds for a great nights sleep. The farm itself is in such a lovely quiet spot and the owners were very friendly making us feel very welcome, including our pet dog … he even got a welcome doggy pack including treats and a new toy (which he is still enjoying playing with now!). A great place to stay if you want peace and quiet coupled with cleanliness and comfort.

This barn conversion is beautiful. Situated on a farm with parking and private driveway down to the farm. The place was spotlessly clean and everything was in-place for a lovely stay. Nice little touches too provided by the owners like a bottle of red to welcome us. Location is off the beaten track so you will need a car to get around. All in all a lovely stay.

Had a fantastic 4 night stay at Rue Hayes barn. Beautiful cottage in a lovely setting. Perfect views from bedroom windows to wake up to. The attention to detail within the cottage and all the little added extras the host thought of really made this place a cut above the rest, we've stayed in a few cottages but particularly the dog hamper that was left for our 2 dogs made our week. How very thoughtful. Will hopefully return one day with the kids as this place is just lovely.

A great place to stay, with warm and welcoming owners, a great location, a lovely cottage with all you can need and want. Hot tub was lovely, kitchen had all we needed, bedrooms were spacious. As an FYI, you are in the middle of a working farm, so if you are looking for secluded, then this may not be the best for you. You do get privacy, just not secluded. You are quite likely to bump into the lovely family that live there, especially out on walks in the fields. One final note, the local pub is kind of walkable, but is basically 1.5 to 2 miles up a country lane (and I do mean up!!). Once at the pub it's lovely though, and very dog friendly with a nice menu and nice beer garden. There are many many other pubs around and some nice restaurants in Leek just down the road.

An amazing place to go and stay to get away from it all. Watching the sunrise from the hot tub was just amazing. Made to feel so welcome and the owners were super helpful. Highly recommend and will book again soon. Loved the welcome treats for us and the dogs - thank you.

Totally idyllic. This was the most gorgeous cottage with everything top quality. Beautiful oak flooring and furniture, sumptuous bedding, a kitchen stocked with every single thing could think of, perfectly clean, very cosy but a log burner to add to the ambience, fantastic views, amazing hot tub to watch relax in after busy sightseeing and walking, watching the sun going down, even fluffy robes provided to wrap up in after a soak. Dog friendly with towel, bowls, treats and toys as well as a lovely basket for us. Thank you Jo, can’t recommend your cottage highly enough, we’ve had a lovely relaxing week.

Our only gripe, which to most people would not be a problem, is that there was no direct access from the cottage to the secure garden. Having reactive dogs it meant I couldn't just open the door and let them out for toileting as we do at home early morning /late night, I had to get my coat and boots on (we had lots of rain.. And snow!) and put leads on dogs and walk them round and wait for them to be ready to go back in. Not quite as relaxing as I had hoped. But, that aside, what a lovely warm comfortable cottage. The underfloor heating in the kitchen was very welcoming. The WiFi allowed us to stay connected as our phones had no signal. A wonderful deep long bath to soak in, bliss. Our hosts Joanne and Andrew were very helpful, to the point of towing our car up the steep drive in the snow so we wouldn't get stuck! And the hot tub was a lovely place to relax, with plenty of giggles as we ran back round to the cottage in the snow. Thoughtful welcoming baskets for humans and dogs were most appreciated. Would we go again.. yes

Excellent cottage in an idyllic location. Spectacular views from the hot tub especially. The standard of funishings were excellent, and the cottage was spotless. We had a welcome pack, and so did the dog! which was great-thank you. Short drive into leek for shops, and we visited Tittesworth Water about 10 minutes away, great for walking the dog. Overall we had a great stay here and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Would only like to add the garden is accessed from round the side of the house and not a door leading directly from the cottage straight into the garden. Would recommend.

We had an excellent time. The cosy cottage had everything we needed - and the farmer even brought us round to some freshly laid eggs. From the hot tub there’s a beautiful view of a rolling countryside. There is a local pub called the Jarvis Arms which is within walking distance, and has some of the best pub grub I’ve had. Lovely polite owners, who even had a welcome hamper for us when we arrived. Would definitely recommend.
