Pheasants Roost is a shepherd’s hut style property nestled in a hedgerow within the owner’s grounds in the pretty hamlet village of Thorpe Bassett, near the market town of Malton. This quiet setting is perfect for couples looking to enjoy a getaway with a quirky twist. With mature hedgerows either side of the hut and stunning views across open pasture and onwards to the Howardian Hills, guests can relax and recharge their batteries in the private wood-fired tub. There are no bubbles in this tub which makes for a relaxing experience that enables you to enjoy the tranquillity of the Yorkshire countryside.
Pheasants Roost has a small open plan living space but is perfectly formed, the hut has been tastefully decorated in soft pastel shades with a country feel. The functional kitchen is ideal to rustle up delicious meals which can be enjoyed alfresco on the patio area should the weather allow. Although the property doesn’t have central heating, it does have a cosy wood burner for those cooler evenings. After a long day of exploring, why not cosy up in front of the wood burner, or enjoy a barbecue whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings?
