This charming detached cottage is nestled behind the owner’s own property in the village of Mappleton, just outside the popular coastal town of Hornsea. A double bedroom can be found on the first floor, with low vaulted ceilings it really is rather cosy. Both rooms offer all the charm of a traditional seaside cottage and set a relaxing atmosphere for a great night’s sleep. Tucked into one end is the house bathroom offering a shower over the bath.
To the outside of Salty Paws is a private garden offering both decked and gravelled areas. Hornsea just 3 miles away and Bridlington and Filey (which are a little further away) all offer traditional seaside attractions. The local village pub serves great ales and the local tea rooms offer a wide selection of home made cakes and sandwiches, great for a picnic lunch. The local area offers plenty of opportunity to explore including the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs, Spurn Point Nature Reserve and sailing and fishing opportunities at Hornsea Mere. There are also a host of stately homes to enjoy including Burton Constable, Burton Agnes, Sewerby Hall and the stunning Castle Howard. The unspoilt rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds are on the doorstep to discover, offering a host of both cycle routes and public footpaths.
