Visitors will enjoy watching the trawlers return with their daily catch in the harbour close by. Take a boat trip to the Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries, and watch the puffins and seals at play. Horse riding is available only a mile inland. The extensive sweep of golden sands Beadnell Bay is renowned for is only two miles south - a popular destination for water sports enthusiast and will also appeal to those who yearn to wander along the miles of unspoilt seashore to touch the sand, listen to the lap of the waves against the shoreline and inhale the invigorating sea air.....

    The house was comfortable and in a quiet area, with plenty of room for the three of us. Also, the property was well-equipped and well maintained for our needs. We possibly will use the house again in the future as a base for exploring this lovely region.

    Nice comfortable house, within easy walking distance of local amenities. Ideal location for touring the Northumberland coast and countryside.

    Very happy with the house, clean and well equipped. The location was great for exploring Northumberland and a short walk to a really nice beach. Seahouses has all the amenities you need for your stay. We hope to stay again in the future although the house has been sold so will depend if the new owners continue to list it has a holiday let. Highly recommended.

    The beds were very uncomfortable and had on winter bedding. Fortunately we were not too far from home, so we left on the Tuesday. Disappointing to say the least.

    We had no response from owner or caretaker re: ill-fitting sheet which came off and we ended up on the bare mattress; we only got a response after phoning customer care twice! no garden furniture laid out; only chairs in a garage. If we had an emergency I don't know what would have happened. The sheet was mentioned in another guest's comments in August 2018 as was also mentioned about the towels and sheets clean but smelt musty; which obviously they have not been laundered properly.

    Love Sandmartin, but sad to see it’s for sale. Bit of a shock when we pulled up on the drive! This was our our 2nd visit. Sandmartin is an excellent base to explore the area & love the fact that it’s a 2 min walk to the cliff tops!! There is almost everything you need equipment wise, but disappointed there was no table to sit outside with this year! We found some chairs in the garage. Also, some of the kitchen equipment was lacking. There was half a bread board to use!! Apart from that we would love to return again in the future if it is still a listed property?!

    A few things need addressing like the central heating is very noise in the night the toilets don't flush very well the owners are very helpful but the cleaners need to spend time on the property under beds and the oven but just little things also this house is up for sale
