    A fabulous apartment, in a great location with pretty much everything you need available to you. What would make it better? WiFi, however we knew it wasn’t available when we booked so feel it unfair to mark down on this point. We will definitely come back 😊

    Lovely modern, clean cottage in great location. Dog friendly, as is the apartment below and therefore dogs can hear one another. Smoke alarm also connected to flat below (beware of their burnt toast) and no WiFi. Parking outside only for one car for both apartments. However good value for money. X

    A beautifully appointed apartment in the centre of Bamburgh, minutes from the most spectacular beach. Everything in the apartment is top quality and looks lovely; comfortable beds, stylish bathrooms with a rain shower in one, comfortable sitting and dining room and everything you need in the kitchen. The outdoor space makes all the difference, we sat outside and talked into the night after coming back from the Potted Lobster near by. I highly recommend Sandpiper and will be returning.

    Sandpiper was a great base for our holiday in Bamburgh. The flat was very clean and cosy but the hot water system meant that the water was not that hot (could put our hands under it without issue if we wanted to use the water after mid-day) and it is not explained that there is a water pump somewhere in the loft that at times constantly kicks in and out quite loudly and appears to be any time one of the adjoining 3 flats runs any water. Especially annoying if someone flushes the loo in the middle of the night. WiFi would have been nice especially in 2019 with broadband packages being as cheap as they are, so it was good that we had a decent enough data package on our phones. It isn’t just social media holiday makers use WiFi for but tide times, for Lindisfarne for example as no information for tide times is available in the flat. Overall, we had excellent weather and our break was very good, with some nice eateries in Bamburgh. Could have done with a welcome folder that explains the area, the recycling, the appliances (we found lots of installation brochures for builders/plumbers/electricians but not the end users). Lastly, it was good that there is free parking in the village centre but at times there is limited spaces available as the parking is a complete joke unless you have a Fiat 500 or equivalent. Our flat mates below struggled to park and get out the car at the same time. I gave up after 1 day as the rear of our car protruded into the main road by over a foot and we have a family saloon.

    Very relaxing stay in Bamburgh the cottage is in a good location just off the high street. We enjoyed eating out. The only negative comment we have is the owner needs to fix the dishwasher, if one is included it should work. Nice place.

    Overall this was a lovely little apartment in an ideal location. Right in the heart of Bamburgh, it is walking distance from the local shops, restaurants, pubs and museums/castle. The accommodation was really lovely - very clean and tastefully decorated. The only reason we didn’t go for a rating of 10 was the lack of WiFi, uncomfortable single beds (not really suitable for adults) and the backyard needing a mow/tidy. This didn’t detract from the stay we had though and we would still highly recommend the Sandpiper to others, especially families with young children.

    Lovely cottage in an excellent location. Parking space is very small and only suitable for a small car, however when we were there we were able to park free of charge in the square which was just round the corner. Lovely lounge, dining and kitchen area. Comfortable bedrooms, though main bedroom would benefit from a thicker mattress. Kitchen needs a new set of pans for those wishing to cook in the cottage. We ate out as there are so many good eating places in the village and in Lucker. We loved our stay and will definitely book the cottage again next year.

    There was no heating on when we arrived late on a winter's night & not as much as half a pint of milk to make a drink. Unfortunately the dishwasher was broken and some of the kitchen utensils/crockery were not clean.

    We have had a fab week. Lots to see and do. The flat was very clean and fairly comfortable. The only negative really was that not all of the equipment was working eg dishwasher and washing machine. Also the enauite bathroom was very cold and the radiator in there didn't appear to be working. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.
