Originally it was part of the outbuildings of a large house this pretty cottage has been totally transformed by the current owners to provide a good standard of accommodation in a lovely and accessible location. Situated in the heart of the thriving and popular village of Lochcarron the property is just steps away from the beautiful shoreline. It is a short walk to all the local amenities including village shop restaurant café and pub and Lochcarron Golf Course is also open to visitors. Set back from the road Seacot has a small courtyard garden overlooking the bay. The living room has large bi-folding doors solid wooden floors a large wood burner and bright original paintings all combining to make this room bright warm and welcoming. The kitchendining room is well equipped to a good standard with integral appliances and plenty of space for dining. There is a good-sized family bathroom on the ground floor with bath and separate shower cubicle and there is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. The steep cottage stairs lead up to two pretty bedrooms both are attractively presented with soft furnishings including delightful Fair Isle throws.\nLochcarron village is set right on the shores of the sea loch surrounded by the spectacular hills and mountains of Wester Ross. There are also a number of local crafts made in the area and regular craft markets are held throughout the summer season. The area is a haven for wildlife with otters and seals to be seen along the shore-line and dolphins have been spotted in the bay. There are some superb drives in this part of the Highlands and a trip to Applecross via the highest pass in Britain is a must. Known as the ‘Pass of the Cattle’ and rising to over 2000 feet it affords amazing views across the Minch to the isles of Raasay and Skye. This is a paradise for lovers of the great outdoors and there are unlimited sporting opportunities close by including climbing hill walking fishing canoeing diving sailing and cycling. Beach 30 yards. Shop ¼ mile pub and restaurant ½ mile. " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/138/840/1384769.jpg UK5535

We loved this cottage and the surrounding area, it was beautiful. Not even the rain could dampen our spirits. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a welcoming, well presented home from home with everything that we needed to enjoy our break. Spotless and well looked after - in fact there is nothing that we didn't like about this holiday cottage. The owners have gone the extra mile to make sure everything you need is to hand. From handy wee notes on "how to", to OS Map (blown up and pinned to the wall) for working out where we were and where we were heading the next day, to the "boot room" where you can take off your muddy boots and hang up any wet outdoor clothes. Although many places closed due to current COVID19 guidance, the locals were welcoming and friendly. The local Spar shop was reasonably priced and the range of products on offer was very good. Great base for lovely walks and with plenty to do in the local area, a trip to Applecross is a must, as is the Steam Train and Loch "Cruise". Great cottage in a lovely area, and we would highly recommended.

This was our second visit to Seacot and hopefully won't be our last. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you could need for a holiday stay and the owners have left clear and helpful instructions. The utility room is great for dealing with wet gear. The cottage is very clean. It conveniently situated for travelling in different directions. We even saw pine marten in the next door garden! Highly recommended.

We loved this cottage and the surrounding area, it was beautiful even on a typical grey Scottish day! The cottage was well presented with everything that we needed to enjoy our break, it was spotless and well looked after - in fact there is nothing that we didn't like about this holiday cottage. The owners have gone the extra mile to make sure everything you need is to hand. The log burner (with plenty of logs) kept us really cosy even on the coldest nights. We especially liked the OS Map (blown up and pinned to the wall) for working out where we were and where we were heading the next day, a really good idea. It's been said before but I would really recommend the local Spar shop, I was impressed by the prices and the range of products on offer. There is plenty to do in the local area, a trip to Applecross is a must, we also enjoyed taking the train to Plockton, a great treat to have such views and not to be watching the road! A great cottage in a great area, comes highly recommended.

This was a lovely cottage in a great location. It was very well equipped and very comfortable. The views across the loch were wonderful. The welcome gift was much appreciated. The local shop was well stocked and there were two very nice cafes nearby. We had a lovely week there and would happily recommend it to friends.

Absolutely loved this cottage. We have stayed in many places and this is definitely in the top 2. When the weather was atrocious this week you could paint, bake, play games, a real home from home. The utility room was a bonus when we were coming in wet and muddy from a walk. Set back in a quiet position with a view of the loch. Local Spar is really well stocked with good opening hours. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic cottage with everything you could think of for a home away from home. The views out of the lounge doors and across to the loch are fantastic and ever changing, no two days were the same. The local Spar shop is within walking distance and is very well stocked.
