We have been here for a few years now and it a great place to stay as it's not to far from any where in the lakes. Ideal for a base and lots of lovely days out. The bonus is the beach is dog friendly and the dog loves his holiday's by the sea. we shall be going again. Excellent kitchen, large lounge and dinning area. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful if you need to know any thing .

Seaspray cottage was exactly what we were looking for on our week's holiday in St Bees. A party of 2 adults, 1 child (13) & a small dog. Delighted with the property. The interior was simply lovely, obviously recently done out in shades of neutral, pastel blue & greens. Very clean, well-equipped kitchen & bathroom. Flat-screen TVs in the lounge & both bedrooms (we didn't watch TV in our bedroom but it was there if you want that). Excellent WiFi. Lots of information about places to visit, history of the property, take-away menus etc. provided. Nice little garden, enclosed on all sides so perfect for dogs. Good quality bedding & fluffy, clean towels. Less than 1 minute walk to St Bees beach, a beautiful wide beach (when the tide is out), all-comers welcome including dogs. Hartleys café across the car park for sandwiches & ice creams, newspapers etc. (opens 8-8 in summer). The Seacote Hotel does lunchtime & evening meals if you don't want to cook, again just a minute's walk across the car park. One particularly refreshing surprise (having stayed in multiple UK holiday cottages over the years) is the provision of household goods. I brought my own loo roll, kitchen roll, dishwasher tabs, washing-up liquid, bin bags etc. I didn't need any of these as they were all provided gratis in Seaspray. So I note a few people have commented on location. Seaspray is located at the far end of the big St Bees beach car park & about 20 metres from the local recycling centre. This caused us no bother at all, not at all intrusive. The big pros provided by Seaspray far outweighed these theoretical minor cons; as I say, no issue for us. The lovely manager of the property lives in the same row of cottages as Seaspray & was very helpful, able to solve any small issue if the need arose. Highly recommend a visit to St Bees Priory (half a mile away) & a walk up the coast to St Bees Head (& beyond to the lovely town of Whitehaven if you fancy a 6-miler!). We also visited Ravenglass, Muncaster Castle & Wast Water during our week's holiday - all recommended. 10 out of 10 to Seaspray for amenities, quality, & location.

Holiday was fantastic, looking at booking again for next year the only thing I would change is the fridge/freezer and give the oven a deep clean

Nice bungalow, well equiped. Clean and tidy. The only negative and this is being really nit-picky is that being on the corner next to the public car park and entrance to the caravan park you are like a fish in a goldfish bowl, every looks at what your doing in the garden.

Very good apart from the car park and re cycling. However it didn t bother us because. Of. The time of year. Could be a nuisance in high season.

This was our 4th stay at this fantastic cottage and we are booking again for next year. It is the perfect base for a walking holiday and exploring the surrounding area. Great views. Wonderful walks around St.Bees Head and Ennerdale close by. Whitehaven within short driving distance. The cottage itself brings everything you could want in a home and we didn't want to leave. Can't wait to go back.
