Logs for wood burner available locally. Travel cot and highchair. Enclosed courtyard with garden furniture. Residents’ car park 200 yards permit provided unloading at the door. No smoking. Please note There are 7 steps in the garden.\n September Cottage in a quiet location just a few minutes’ walk of the harbour where there are numerous shops cafés restaurants and pubs. The semi-detached property oozes character and charm throughout with beamed ceiling and wood burner in the living room you’ll be sure to feel right at home. The property has been decorated and furnished to offer good accommodation for families or friends to get together. This humble abode dates back from 1679 and has a small unused cottage in the garden which was once home to the stone mason that crafted All Saints Church which is close by. There is a small enclosed courtyard with garden furniture which can be accessed from the back door with 7 steps up to the sitting-out area.\nBrixham has many activities all year round including the pirate festival the trawler race and so much more. The harbour shops and restaurants are a 3-minute stroll away or why not take a boat trip to Torquay and Dartmouth for a day’s fishing? The coastal path is easily accessed leading to lovely beaches and coves and the popular Fishcombe Cove is at the end of the road. Brixham forms the third part of Torbay the other two being Torquay and Paignton. The bay is known as the English Riviera due to its unique micro-climate. Walkers and navigators can explore the depths of Dartmoor spot wild Dartmoor ponies and cross ancient stone bridges spanning the clear bubbly waters of the River Dart as well as other rivers. You can also feel the somewhat eerie presence of the tors seven rocky hills presiding majestically over the moors. Take the ferry across to Dartmouth the neighbouring town to Brixham and make your way across the River Dart. At the mouth of the river you will find Kingswear and Dartmouth castles both with the rocky waters of the estuary lapping at their feet. There are many National Trust properties nearby and Agatha Christie’s summer house is also well worth a visit. Beach ½ mile. Shop pub and restaurant 100 yards. \n " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/140/840/1403327.jpg UKC2614

We had an enjoyable week staying here, the only issues being the church bells that ring every hour on the hour (and I mean every hour..!), which meant our daughter staying in the top bedroom didn’t get a great nights sleep. Also we didn’t find out until after we had made the final payment that car parking wasn’t available from 8am to 9pm on Sunday, so it meant an early start to move my car and having to make sure I didn’t have a drink until after moving it back again in the evening. Not a massive issue I know but it should be listed in the details and not kept quiet until after you have paid 🤷🏻‍♂️

Lovely old cottage in an ideal location. Just such a shame that the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. It would also have been useful to have some information provided on local attractions and amenities.
