It features a large and comfortable living/dining room with views over the garden and beautiful countryside. As well as a modern, well-equipped kitchen, there are two well-appointed bedrooms - a double room with en-suite bathroom and a twin room with separate bathroom. Below Sheldon Barn is a useful boot room, available to guests for drying clothes and boots after wet weather when exploring the local area.
Situated in the heart of the southern Peak District National Park, Sheldon Barn is a great base for exploring the nearby towns, including Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne, as well as many other Peak District attractions. For anyone who enjoys walking and cycling, The Limestone Way, The Peak Pilgrimage and The Pennine Bridleway all pass through or very close to Monyash. Also close by you will find the Tissington and High Peak railway trails, offering superb off-road cycling and walking, and the Monsal Trail is just a few miles away.
Impressive country houses such as Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are nearby, as is the Plague Village of Eyam. Slightly further afield you can enjoy Ilam Park, Dovedale with its famous stepping stones, the Peak Wildlife Park, Alton Towers, The Heights of Abraham, Gullivers Kingdom, Matlock and Matlock Bath, as well as the Blue John Cavern and Kinder Scout, to name just a few things to do within easy reach. There really is something for everyone!
Sheldon Barn really is the perfect place to enjoy the beauty and attractions that this part of the country has to offer. After a long day out and about exploring, what better way to relax than enjoying the shared use of the owners’ garden with its fantastic views?
