What an amazing little find! This cottage was super, had everything we needed and it was dog friendly. The walls along the seaside, the bakery across the road and not forgetting the pub a few steps away. Our holiday was absolutely magical and the cottage itself was very comfortable and the beds amazing. Will definitely be back next year. The GNR was outstanding too. Thank you so much xx

We had a lovely week. The location was great, the parking for a medium sized car was tight, but useful. With other free parking close by. Comfy bedrooms, thoughtful games and leaflets. Great contact with the owners, all was good enough for us to be happy to return. But there are 2 small negatives I feel important to mention: I know the steepness of the stairs is mentioned in the listing, but even though I took care, I did nearly fall down them twice during the week. They are worst for coming down, as slope downwards; inwards on some steps, and are narrow. So those making bookings should take care. Also, what looks like a proper oven in the photographs is actually a microwave oven, which I believe is a bit misleading. We only had 2 rings, would not have wanted to fry everything anyway due to wanting a healthier alternative to pub meals and takeaways - as well as cheaper. But using it, even though technically you can grill and "oven cook" things takes MUCH longer, is not possible to have anything brown or crispy. Difficult when you'd arranged for a Tesco shopping delivery on arrival day! But we made it work as best we could.

The accommodation was Quirky and a little small for four but otherwise very good. We did enjoy the holiday and the sea view was a little restricted but nice all the same.

It's just too noisy. Needs carpet and curtains in bedrooms.

I was looking for a cottage with 2 bedrooms and parking. Shipshape gave me exactly what I was looking for. 2 bedrooms with the extra of 2 bathrooms. Parking was no way an issue as some people said in reviews. Yes, take care (as with all parking) but was ok. Cottage was clean, and had tea, coffee and milk provided. Lots of nearby foods outlets, if don't want to cook. Lots of dog friendly places (the Drift in Cresswell is great) I would return!

We booked ship shape on a whim and are so glad we did. The cottage was beautifully clean and we loved it's quirky design. The stairs are very steep but this was ok for our family. The two single beds are downstairs so my husband and I ended up sleeping in them instead of the double bed. Our children are 10 and 5 so I wouldn't have felt comfortable with them sleeping downstairs on their own. However, this did not affect our experience and we had a brilliant few days. I would highly recommend ship shape if you are looking to book a cottage.

We even had sunshine! The beach is super, sea views from all rooms. The street has friendly pubs and great value take away food - although there are food stores next door. Had a wonderful time
