Had a good time felt happy and comfortable. Parking was a bit tricky and someone shouted at me for parking where I did but others had parked with large gaps so I had no choice and I’d parked as close to the wall as I possibly could so other holdiay let’s users need to not be quite so greedy. Outside light needs a bulb as it was v dark when I got there and so not being able to see when there’s a light there seemed unfortunate and I couldn’t use it through my stay as no bulb and didn’t want to fiddle incase I broke it. House itself was lovely and comfy and warm I was very glad to return.

We had a wonderful time in cosy Silk Cottage. It has all you could need for a perfect break.

The cottage was lovely. Everything there for a comfortable stay and convenient for sightseeing in the area. The traffic outside the house was heavier than expected and was exasperated by British Rail using the lane as access to repair a railway embankment. Sadly, both of the local pubs weren't serving food during our stay, the Sundial was shut and the Punch Bowl had a shortage of beer. But all in all we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend the cottage.

Lovely cottage, very well equipped, clean and cosy. Well placed for Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire.

A fantastic cosy cottage, well stocked and quiet enough with shops a few miles away. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going again.

Cosy cottage in good location which was very clean and well equipped. It had a lovely sunny garden too which we made good use of. The only negative was there was no phone signal and as we are not BT WI FI customers we did not have access to free wi fi. We could have paid but managed to survive without wi fi- this should have been made clearer at time of booking.

Good accommodation but no near shops but not a problem if you think ahead when you are out and about to get your milk or bread; great location for visiting lots of different sights and also for the Lake District as well as YD Natl Park!

Everything was perfect. Everything we could have hoped for and more.
