Lawned garden and furniture. Parking 2 cars. No smoking. Please note Couples family bookings and holidaymakers only.\n This modern semi-detached bungalow set in a quiet cul-de-sac within an exclusive private development near the Dalfaber Country Club is 1 mile from the centre of Aviemore. A variety of sports and leisure activities are within easy reach including fishing golf pony trekking and hill walking on the Cairngorms. The Aviemore to Boat of Garten Steam Railway passes nearby and a trip is not only nostalgic but provides the perfect opportunity to view the magnificent scenery. It is an ideal base to tour the Highlands and the North of Scotland from. The RSPB reserve at Boat of Garten is well worth a visit to view the famous ospreys.     Second time we have used Silverlea. Disappointed nothing has been upgraded over the last two years. Bed lights in double bedroom did not work. The last visitor had noted this but nothing had been done. No chair in that bedroom. Room with two sets of bunk beds was very crowded and claustrophobic feeling. We felt that in this day and age the lack of wi fi would have been rectified over the last two years. The wooden gate at the rear is very ill-fitting making it a struggle to put the bins out. The front door stop is still a bit wobbly, as it was two years ago. On the plus side, the caretaker obviously takes a pride in keeping the place clean and we love the location.

    We did not sleep well in this house. Some of the children's bunks were comfortable, some lumpy and springy. The "double" bed is very small and uncomfortable with springs all over. For the price I want a good night's sleep. The location is great with a short walk to golf course, river walks or the middle of town and restaurants. Oh, and it has a good potato masher and kitchen equipment in general. But it has a dishwasher rather than a washing machine which we could really have done with! And towels are not part of the deal. Yes, yes, it said it in the small print and luckily we had some anyway. But I really would have expected them for the price too!!! You don't even get a hand towel or bath mat. The shower can only be described as rubbish. Somehow the amazing water pressure which comes out when you run a bath dissappears as soon as you switch it to shower. There is no WiFi which is great if you want to get away from all that and have conversations with your family! What is most annoying is that all these issues have been moaned about in the guest book for at least 20 years and nothing has been done about them, so I doubt anything will change and we will not be back!

    Lovely cottage in a peaceful area. The cottage had everything you could think of with a lovely garden, but we couldn't sit out in it because it was raining most of the time which was a shame. We looked forward to coming back to the cottage at the end of the day, it was very comfortable and warm there and would love to stay there again some day.
