Wonderful break, Loved the cottage, very unique style
Great property Luxary fittings, location is perfect in the old town with pubs, restaurants beach galleries and shops on your doorstep. Highly recommend a trip to Margate.
My daughter who trained in interior architecture and design loved the confident use of old and modern in this lovingly restored old cottage . It felt so comfortable living here for 5 days.
It is a great location in the old town and so convieant for wandering around the great second hand shops, coffe shops, independent pubs and restaurants. The Turner Art Gallery was an inspiration and minutes from this surprising house. Lots of interesting books re art, design and architecture to look through while relaxing in the light filled kitchen .Our dog loved this home for a week and hopes we will visit again!!

Just back from a relaxing week away - couldn't fault Smugglers Cottage in any way. Would definitely recommend and would book again if returning to Margate.
A wonderful week in a lovely cottage.
Great location, lovely cottage, interesting decor.
This review is a little late but I was reminded to do it after another holiday with the company. Smugglers is a very unusual property with quirky decor . On arrival I was a little unsure but soon warmed to the plaster walls in the lounge and ended up loving its whole ambience and history. There were only 2 of us so the top floor bathroom was no problem and the provided bathrooms were lovely to use to go up there.
the little area behind the cottage provided an excellent place to have a glass of wine before heading out to eat . We had never been to Margate before but wanted to go to the Turner Gallery. So glad we tried Margate it has the most stunning sunsets which we saw every evening of our holiday. We ate at some really great restaurants in the old town area where the cottage is located.
Stunning cottage in the heart of Margate Old Town. The cottage is beautifully decorated and conveniently located. The fittings are all to a high standard - the bathroom was stunning!
