We had a fantastic weekend in solitude for my hen do. Our booking was cancelled with another provider last minute and Jen was amazing from start to finish, she accepted our booking at short notice and made sure we were welcomed and settled. The house is fantastic could easily fit more guests comfortably, lots of extras things already there that you may have forgot it has everything you could possibly need and more. The games room is great and the hot tub is huge! We had the best time and would definitely go back. We can’t comment on the surround area as we didn’t leave the property but the house is in an amazing location with amazing views. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay xx

We love this house. It is perfect location with beautiful views. We have stayed there twice now with extended family and it caters for all ages from 11 to 75 aswell as the dog. We love the games room and the hot tub particularly. There is plenty of space so people can spread out in the house too. You can pick up the Severn Way walking trail from the house and walk for as long as you like in the beautiful countryside. The house is warm and cosy and very well equipped. Jen is extremely welcoming and has thought of everything you need.

We found solitude on a website when looking for a house to sleep 10 adults and 2 children over the christmas period It had everything we were looking for; big kitchen and a lounge where everyone could sit together - and more - with the hot tub and games room We met Jenny in April; and viewed the property It was spotlessly clean and fully equipped We ventured into Newtown- 12 minutes away and found all major supermarkets; florist, hairdresser, and even a very welcoming Church at All Saints By the end of May we had organised our surprise secret wedding, with our wedding breakfast to be at Maesmawr Hall Hotel Deposits were paid to Bloomers Florist, and hair appointments at Elizabeth's booked on Christmas eve Jenny supported us in every way with her excellent recommendations and advice When we arrived, the house was beautifully decorated with Christmas tree and ornaments The table was laid, and looked stunning! including a bottle of champagne to celebrate Our bedroom was so big, with en suite and a view of the Welsh hills and lots of sheep! Idyllic The range coped with cooking for 12 easily, and there was more than enough crockery and cutlery and dishes Someone came every day to make sure we were ok; and the hot tub was checked - all very reassuring For the middle of December the house was very warm and cosy. We didn't light the log burner, it would have been nice to have had on christmas eve, but none of us had the confidence to do it The family room on the top floor was ideal, with childs bed for 4yr old grandson and cot for 18 month old It did need a bathroom up there - as to come downstairs in the night (4 adults and 2 children) was a noisy affair There was lots of parking and it was easy to find The games room was used by the youngsters and the little ones enjoyed playing with toys They had an excellent recycling scheme Would we go again? Absolutely!

A beautiful cottage in the countryside. Much bigger than the pictures show! We comfortably fit 11 adults, with enough space around the kitchen table and in the lounge for everyone to sit. The views around the cottage are lovely too and the hot tub was a wonderful treat. The kitchen was well equip and had everything we needed to cook for a large group. We had a slight issue with the heating on the first night not working upstairs but Jen had someone round first thing the next morning to fix it. A few minutes drive away is "Mid Wales Off Road Karting" which was such a laugh, perfect for a fun birthday / stag / hen activity. Overall would highly recommend this lovely cottage!

What can I say we stayed there for a weekend for my Nephew’s 21st birthday with a mix of all age groups and it was fabulous. The cottage was clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was fabulous and the games room was superb for the kids and adults a fun time was had by all. I couldn’t recommend this cottage highly enough. Also Jen the owner was very helpful and it was a pleasure to deal with her.

Had an amazing long weekend at Solitude despite the weather! House is so welcoming and homely and has absolutely everything you could need. Gorgeous hot tub, stunning views, games room which was great for rainy days. A lovely place to relax and unwind and watch the wildlife. Owner Jen is such a lovely lady, very friendly and can’t do enough for you. Left us a lovely welcome package and even brought us some home made welsh cakes!

We were a group of friend,10 adult and 3 children with different range of age from 3 to 50 years old. Solitude had everything we need for a great holiday. The area was nice and peaceful and the building was in the best condition, exactly as pictures, clean, tidy and was ready for us. The owner was supportive, kind and generous. She emailed me and send me a list of everything, which include kitchen tools, games, linen and etc. Also We left some stuff in Solitude but the owner sent these generously. We love to back again to Solitude.

The cottage was absolutely perfect and had anything and everything you could possibly need. The rooms were all very clean and spacious and the hot tub and games room were great, a quiet location not too far from local amenities. Hospitality upon arrival was very welcoming however after leaving we did have a dispute with the owner over "damage" caused to the property while we were there, which was potentially compromising the security deposit being refunded. I found a chip in the top step upon arrival and made a note on a form that was left for us by the owner but I did not immediately inform the owners (which was something that should have been done- I didn't realise). When we left I received an email saying the chip was not there on our arrival (it was, I was the first person to go upstairs) and that they'd also found and area where we had stuck something to the wall with blue tack - which we did not and would not, we didn't even have any blue tack. Due to these issues there were many emails back and forth which I found really stressful and completely ruined the break we had had. The place is wonderful to stay but the owners are not so easy to deal with if there are any problems with damage - even though it was not something we had done. We did receive our security deposit back as the owner claimed her workmen had agreed to rectify the problems for free which meant we received an email in full.
