Spring Tide is just the ticket for a cosy and very comfortable and relaxing base in which to discover this delightful corner of Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland’s best kept secret! The master bedroom has its own private balcony with lovely sea views across Wigtown Bay. Just perfect for a romantic night cap, morning coffee and just planning your day. There are walks straight from the front door along the seashore and particularly enjoyable is the walk to Cruggleton Castle, skirting the grounds of Galloway House and stopping for a picnic on the pretty sandy beach at Rigg Bay. Strong walkers can continue on to the Isle of Whithorn, affectionately known as ’the isle’ to the locals. The annual calendar of events hosted by the county is overflowing with activities for everyone whatever their age. We have music festivals, arts and crafts and open studios, country fairs, mouth watering events for foodies, walking festivals and much, much more and all the venues have one thing in common; they are surrounded by the most dramatic scenery and over 200 miles of stunning coastline.
