We had a lovely week at Springfields, we found it a very homely house. The hot tub was great after walking in the pouring rain (we were slightly unlucky with the weather!) and there is plenty of space for everybody to relax. Unfortunately we didn't get to spend much time in the beautiful garden but did enjoy a barbecue one evening. I think people need to be aware that this is not a luxury 'show home' kind of place, if you are looking for a pristine house with everything perfect and new then this is not the place for you, however if you like a quirky place it definitely is! People should also be aware the house is on a busy, noisy road so again, if that would be a problem for you then maybe look elsewhere.

The owner of this property is great and easy to contact. The actual property its self is super. We held a hen do here and the facilities were great. The hot tub was lovely and the bar area was great for a mini disco. The outside grounds are lovely to. The beds were very comfy and the property had a large dining area and living room. Yes it could do with the odd lick of paint here and there but other than that it was perfect for what we hosted it for. Only a 20 minute drive to go ape to which was a great day out. I would definitely recommend this property.

The house was ok. However there were some issues which mean I would not reccomend. Cleanliness- the overall cleanliness of the house is very average, general dust and cobwebs and the kitchen was not up to standards for a kitchen that is been rented out with the oven greasy and the kitchenware also very greasy and in need with replacing for the standards expected of a rental. The dishwasher didnt work properly and the hot water tap in the kitchen also did not work. We also had no hot water at all on arrival which was fixed a a few hours after reporting. The main issue was a leak in the roof in the games room making that unusable. This made the room dangerous and again from a health and safety view unsuable. If this was a hotel the room would have been blocked off. The owners knew about this leak prior to us arriving and no effort was made to tell us before which we found extremely disappointing as the games room was one of the main reasons we booked it and we couldn't use it!! We did text the owner about it but reply did not offer to come and find a solution. After the second leak we decided it was too dangerous to use the room. We had a good time as a group of friends however these issues were frustrating and we would not reccomend staying especially after the 'resoultion'of the issue.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at springfield cottage. The host was really kind, flexible and accomodating. The house is perfect to relax in but you can equally have a really good party. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay at Springfield's, the owners were there to meet us on arrival and were friendly and helpful both throughout our stay and in all communication before and after. The cottage and grounds were beautiful, warm, fully equipped and comfortable. The bar area and hot tub were a fantastic addition and well utilised by us!! We would definitely return. The only tiny issues we found were the the TV in the lounge seemed to have a poor signal and we couldn't locate the dvd remote and the shower door in the main bathroom didn't close properly. None of this hampered our stay though. Looking forward to returning.

We had a lovely stay at Springfields over new year, the house is a brilliant size for groups. The lounge and dining room worked great for us. Some elements of the house are little tired and if we could have changed anything it would have been the general cleanliness and standard of cleaning appliances available to use. Also a cloakroom / hanging area in the hall for coats.

We had such a lovely stay over the weekend. The house is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are so lovely. Really loved the “man cave”, that was a big hit with everyone, the hot tub was also lovely. I read a few reviews saying the house needed updating, it probably could do with a “freshen up” but this really didn’t affect our stay. Amy was lovely and very helpful. Really would recommend this house, we were only gutted we couldn’t have stayed longer.
